  5. I am glad it´s working for you. Good luck with the php.
  6. Welcome to the forum, snurnberg.
  7. I can´t really say what is new in this version since I upgrade it as soon a new version comes out (ie I don´t keep track on what they change in the versions) and I also don´t know which version you have and it´s then impossible to say what is new for you. Usually I download things to always stay out of as many vulnerabilities as I can but I also wanted it since I am a "I want the latest" person. Even though you haven´t downloaded and used for a long time, you should upgrade for bug fixes etc and who knows, there might be a feature that you didn´t know you missed and start using it again.
  8. Welcome to the forum, abrogard. As Don says, lots of us use the Lazarus Guestbook instead and while the author of the Lazarus Guestbook have his own forum, many of us in this forum should be able to answer any of your eventual guestbook questions. If we can´t, the author is also a member of these forums and peeks in quite often to answer questions about it.
  9. I forgot to say that option 2 (start over) is probably the easiest if you have not done too much with the blog yet.
  10. When you set up the second blog through fantastico, it have asked you to enter the login info you want to use. If you can´t remember your login info, first thing to try is the "lost password" link on the login page you link to. Second, you could remove this test installation through fantastico and start over.
  11. I created a new subdomain, and it already had wordpress installed on it (although I have no idea what my login info, affect on current site, etc. would be for this new copy). Will I get an entirely new wordpress dashboard to work with? Did you install this through fantastico? If yes, it would explain how the new wordpress installation ended up there. If yes on the above, it have its own of everything, so you can play around with it without risking anything on your "real" wordpress installation. Also, I don't think I quite understand databases very well. Are they where all the "public site information, webpages, etc." are stored? And do I create a new user for each database (because I don't want it to affect my SERP, links, etc.) The databases are placed outside your domain I believe For each installation you do that requires a database, you should create a new database for it.
  12. We have made an minor change and addition to the rules for family pages requests. Old rule # 5... New rule # 5...
  13. Sorry, I can not add this link at this time. The current backlink are made as a post/article which when you write more articles will not be easily visible for your visitors. It must be prominent somewhere on your site. A links page or footer, etc...

  15. Not sure, but the helpdesk would be able to tell you, so please submit a ticket.
  16. Two things that comes to mind to check/try is 1) have you tried sending the backup to another address to see if that works (ie if using gmail now, then try yahoo, hotmail or something else). 2) most email providers have a size limit on incoming emails. Are the attachment bigger than the providers size limit?

  18. I have now changed it to personal pages.
  19. The site has been added to the blogs section. Please verify that it looks/works as expected. As for your question... I am not sure I understand what you mean but the site you submit to be included in to the family pages must have the backlink. Apart from that you can link to us as many times you want, from anywhere you want.

  23. From: Secunia http://secunia.com/advisories/25215/ Rating: Highly critical Description: Secunia Research has discovered two vulnerabilities in various Symantec products, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system. The vulnerabilities are caused due to errors in the AxSysListView32 and AxSysListView32OAA ActiveX controls (NavComUI.dll) when handling the "AnomalyList" and "Anomaly" properties respectively as they take a VARIANT* as argument. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerabilities have been confirmed in Norton Internet Security 2006 including Norton AntiVirus 12.7.0.2. According to the vendor, the following versions are affected: * Norton AntiVirus 2006 * Norton Internet Security 2006 * Norton Internet Security, Anti Spyware Edition 2005 * Norton System Works 2006 Solution: The vendor has issued a fix, which is available via LiveUpdate in Interactive Mode.

  25. If you are running one of the latest versions of MS Office and it´s a genuine version (ie no piracy copy), you can have Windows update tell you about office updates too.
