Question On Migrating Email To Google Apps
TCH-Thomas replied to flamey's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
1) You will need to recreate them through the google apps interface. I think you can do it after changing the MX but no email would be delivered to a specific account on GA until that email account is set up. 2) A site I am administrating are using GA and from what I remember when setting it up the "downtime" was very minimal. I believe it might go much faster than the 48 hours mentioned.- 1 reply

While I haven´t used Drupal I have used other CMS´s and I would go on with registering a domain name and make a test install in a subfolder of the account and then when the test install either move it to the public_html if the test became what you want for a "live site" or rebuild it in the public_html. So basically you would not need a second account for this but keep in mind that using the ip number is only a temporary solution, you will need a domain name connected to your TCH account and I also do not think that using an ip number instead of a domain name will work when it comes to databases and such. Does this make sense?

From: Secunia secunia.com/advisories/28083/ Rating: Highly critical Description: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Adobe Flash Player, which can be exploited by malicious people to bypass certain security restrictions, conduct cross-site scripting attacks, or to potentially compromise a user's system. 1) A boundary error exists in the processing of "Declare Function (V7)" tags. This can be exploited to cause a heap-based buffer overflow via specially crafted flags. 2) An integer overflow in the processing of multimedia files can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow. Successful exploitation of the vulnerabilities may allow execution of arbitrary code. 3) Errors when pinning a hostname to an IP address can be exploited to conduct DNS rebinding attacks. 4) An error when sending HTTP headers can be exploited to bypass cross-domain policy files. 5) An error exists in the enforcing of cross-domain policy files. This can be exploited to bypass certain security restrictions on web servers hosting cross-domain policy files. 6) Input passed to unspecified parameters when handling e.g. the "asfunction:" protocol is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can be exploited to inject arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in context of an affected site. The vulnerabilities are reported in versions prior to 9.0.124.0. Do you have this product installed on your home computer? Scan using the free Personal Software Inspector. Check if a vulnerable version is installed on computers in your corporate network, using the Network Software Inspector. Solution: Update to a fixed version. Flash Player 9.0.115.0 and earlier: Update to version 9.0.124.0. adobe.com/go/getflash Flash Player 9.0.115.0 and earlier (network distribution) : Update to version 9.0.124.0. adobe.com/licensing/distribution Flex 3.0: Update to version 9.0.124.0. adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html#fp9 AIR 1.0: Update to version 1.0.1. adobe.com/go/getair

Redirecting A Subfolder Via .htaccess
TCH-Thomas replied to kfordham281's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Instead of going this route with creating the htaccess file, have you tried the redirect option in cpanel? -
Hi Tarpeysmom, While you wait for fantastico to update to 2.5 I would go make sure that the theme and the plugins you use do work in 2.5. I know from my own experience that it might not work and things needs updating to do.

Thanks Mike. I read that my morning and then began thinking that how on earth can they save chat logs? Ok, this client is new at the moment but in future when they probably have a lot more users than now, how can they save each conversation, either they wont or they have a lot of server space. Me thinks it´s time to let Digsby come back and do some work.
