  1. hi all, was wondering if i would be able to create something like this with frontpage: http://www.mobile360.co.uk/display....riff=xnet&gift= (ignore the buying part) I just want a database, which can be based on an excel spreadsheet (not a must, but since I am a newbie this would be good). it should be able to do simple calculations (eg number of months times monthly rate) and be able to show me, just like in the above example, what i am looking for, at a click. is it possible to do this with frontpage, or where do i have to look? many thanks for any advice!
  2. thx - i know, just testing for emergency situations
  3. for the record, sending a 31mb email between two totalchoice accounts (within one domain) worked - via outlook though, not webmail.
  4. was searching for the same, and found the following answer, so, for the record: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?r...e=faq03.062.htp
  5. thanks rick! i assume that that second version will be updated sometime to 1.4.5?
  6. ok, thanks, one question though: why does the link you gave me lead to squirrelmail v.1.4.3a, while the link through cpanel leads to 1.4.5?
  7. am a bit confused about being able to log in to webmail (squirrelmail) directly - is this possible? i saw the script for horde, but would like something like that for squirrelmail - doesn't need to be java, just any direct link to the webmail. is this possible, avoiding cpanel? many thanks for any hints...
  8. that's what i thought too... thanks
  9. from a help ticket: what is the point of setting up an email account in order for a forward to work? i don't understand this answer... anyone? (email adds have been changed, these are not the real ones)
  10. i guess help desk will know... the only reason i am asking is because i dont remember having it before...
  11. thanks. any idea when this was introduced?
  12. Hi all, Was wondering if somebody can tell me what the size limit is for a sent email, from a totalchoice to a totalchoice account. i've recently got an email rejected (17mb) which I've never had happen before. i'm not sure if its a problem with totalchoice, or whether my ISP smtp server is at fault...
  13. 1) hmmm, dunnooo 2) thanks for that line of code - I've been wanting to solve that problem for aaaaages!
  14. Long ago, before Squirrelmail went mainstream (ie got installed as webmail by totalchoice) I installed it myself, using shell access. It's nicely customized (custom links, etc) and I am happy with the way it is. Just two thing are bugging me - is it possible to remove the version number on the login page? I'd feel safer with that. secondly, I'd like to remove the maximum file size send limit. I know it can be done via shell access, unfortunately this seems to have been removed... any hints anyone? especially that last one is a bummer. yes, i know, there are other webmail programs supported by totalchoice, it's just that my family is not extremely IT friendly and having to retrain them to use something else would be a big pain.
  15. Ok, then 'blackholing' them then
  16. Unfortunately I get incoming spam being sent to a mailing list I administrate. The spam does not get through because only members can post to the mailing list, but I still get the notification messages about (the spam) emails pending until I discard them. Is there any way to: A) put these notification messages off or decrease their frequency (or make a digest out of them) or automatically bounce messages from everybody but the members, preferrably with a custom reply? Many thanks for any hints!
  17. i've just logged in, via cpanel (horde) to my main domain account, ie the default one which you get when you start webhosting. i have discovered that i have a lot of duplicate accounts (in which i had a bit of old email from a year ago) - so, for example, if i have a mail account for 'joe', then he is listed as a folder under 'joe', as well as under 'my domain name', as a separatefolder there (ie, 'my domain name\joe'). any hints anyone on why this is?
  18. was wondering if anyone can offer any solutions to this. i recently logged into my main domain account and found a whole mass of emails which i never knew where there. all of them were originally with attachments classed as dangerous and were kept bouncing around. how can i avoid this, ie how can i make sure that the fail message actually arrives to the original sender, without it bouncing around forever and landing in an account i never check? from what i can see the problem is that the original recipient replied with a fail message, _with_ the original attachment attached. ie:
  19. I have been with totalchoicehosting.com since (nearly) the start of my 'web' presence, but recently found another quite interesting (on first look) offer. can anybody tell me what the negative side to it is? would sure like to have 3gb of space, but am really happy with the way things are going with totalchoicehosting (good support, the forum, etc) (i worked that out to be 96 dollars for a year). is totalchoicehosting going to offer something along those lines, ie more space? TCH-Thomas edited out the link. There is no reason to discuss other webhosting firms in the forum.
  20. yes i do... however when i try to resume i get the message that i can't....??
  21. i am trying to upload a 30mb zip file to my account, but the connection usually gets interrupted (i don't seem to have a very good ISP). when i try to restart the transfer, i get the message that appends/restarts are not permitted - why the policy?
  22. is it possible to make email dissappear and not bounce, once the account its sent to is over its quota?
