i am using outlook and PGP Desktop 8.1... i checked out the plugin but it's a bit basic, so i prefer the version i have which includes a plugin. one question though: if have PGP installed on two machines, and they both use accounts from my domain name, do i need to have the keys in cpanel? dumb question, but basically, what is their use? to be able to send PGP encrypted mails but via webmail too?

umm, one more question. as i understand it, once i install my pgp software, i would need to import the keypair i created onto my PC, correct? however I don't see any option to do that... any help appreciated!

I would finally like to try out encrypting my email. I've tried adding a PGP key in cpanel. I enter all the information, however after confirming, no keys seem to be listed either as public or private ones. any ideas anyone?

hi everyone, just wondering whether this is technically possible at all. here's the situation: i have an account at DynDNS.org because I have a dynamic IP and would like to be able to access my home PC without each time having to type in its IP address. i also have a another domain, hosted by totalchoice. i would like to stop using DynDNS.org and instead just have one domain address. so my question is, is it possible to use a totalchoice subdomain with a dynamic IP address? if my main domain is, say, llama.net, can i keep 'llama.net' pointing toward my totalchoice webhosting while making 'homePC.llama.net' point toward my home pc, via constantly updated dynamic IP address? just wondering if this is possible at all... basically what I want to achieve is just to use one domain, instead of my normal one plus the DynDNS.org one. any hints appreciated!

when i try a site to site transfer (a file called ip.txt) and i connect to my totalchoice hosted domain (which is the destination), i get the following message. is the service really not available, or is it an error?:

since a few days i've been receiving either email messages sent to me with viruses (which norton deletes), as well as "bounces", email with viruses which was apparently sent by me and then bounced back with a notification that the message contained a virus. one of these specified that the virus was mydoom. the great majority of the emails received by me as well as those 'bounced' back to me are from email addresses i dont know at all, however one or two are from people who are in my address book. i've scanned my PC several times with the newest antivirus definitions, have also done this online on the symantec website, and also did a online security check since i read that mydoom opens up some specific ports. i've also run the mydoom removal tool from the norton website, which said it didn't find anything. so, my question is - what's happening? most disturbingly the emails that i receive or are bounced back to me ('bounced' in the sense that they appear to be - i never sent them) are all toward my main email address, which i've never given out on the web. any help anyone? thanks, piotr

could anyone tell me what the maxium amount of people is i can send email to? i have approx. a 100 people and remember i had problems last time round i tried to email them all, i think due to spam policies?

aeroknight (or anyone), how can you set the font size, etc, of that javascript? i've been able to do that however the link remains underlined and white in colour instead of the colour i want it...

solution: i uploaded a new picture and the thumbnail appeared correctly. hence the conclusion (maybe too obvious for some but not apparent enough for me is that the thumbnails get created while being uploaded - thus it is important to have the right settings (ie GD2 or ImageMagick, and if the latter then the path should be input) BEFORE you publish all your images.... as for already uploaded galleries with off-colour thumbnails, it doesnt seem possible to at one go delete all thumbnails since they are in subdirectories together with the main images. so its best to delete the whole album and upload it once again, this time with the correct thumbnail settings in th config duh

i've tried doing it. interestingly, nothing at all happens. for instance the way i set things is to charcoal and emboss images. nothing has happened. -antialias -charcoal 25 -emboss 5 thus my conclusion is that maybe the ImageMagick path is incorrect... is this really all that i paste in for the path?: /usr/local/bin/ NOTHING more? (no customizing, etc)

is "/usr/local/bin/" literally what I put into the path for imagemagick in the config of the gallery? i've done that and my images still are off-colour... GD1 and GD2 dont seem to work either. am i doing something wrong? maybe someone can help.... http://cracow.redo.net/gallery

is it possible to change the amount at which one gets a disk space warning or even have several warnings? ie one at 80% and the next one at 95%?

does anyone have the same troubles? TCH is perfect apart from this problem which is quite annoying, namely that the email notification by this board is just not working. it would be highly useful if i could get email notifications on my server issues or announcements on upgrades, or just replies to my posts - i am not getting anything despite being subscribed. if this problem is not fixable, then, though a pain in the ... it might be, why not switch to a better board that works?

no luck... or at least i cant get them to run... can anyone advise me of a simple php backup script they are using, to backup directories and not just the databases? thanks, piotr
