Glad you found the problem and for sharing the solution. Welcome to the forums.

If you get content from another site, there will be issues. It's just the nature of how the Internet operates.

Take a look through out tutorials for info on how to build a website.

The speed of the website has very little to do with the program used to create it with. A lot of variable go into how fast a site loads..bandwidth, latency, size of graphics, connection type, etc. It mostly depends upon the amount of content. The best rule of thumb I could offer is to keep your images as small as you possibly can. (I believe gif's and png's are the preferred method of displaying graphics now.) Also, keep the total size of your page as small as you can. The less amount of traffic to go through, the faster it will load no matter what type of connection the end customer has.

Just when you least expect it... I suspect it may have something to do with the way you are editing the file(s) on your computer. If they break once you publish the site, then we'll have to work on that when it happens. Glad to hear it's working for now!

I think that would be personal preference. If it were me, and the content was the same (just the site "re-drawn" so-to-speak), I'd publish the new look.

I have FP 2000 on my laptop, so maybe I can help. Have you put this on a web site yet or are you putting it together on your local system? If you can cut and paste the HTML code (found on the HTML tab), maybe it would help us visualize what's going on.

Welcome to the forums. Read through the help site tutorials and if you still have questions, ask away in the Frontpage forum. There are several family members who either use FP or have used FP (myself included). The only dumb question is the one not asked. So ask away!

Check the support section on their site. Anything and everything you'd want to know about phpbb.

If I'm understanding you correctly, it appears you ftp'd the "directory" smiles from your desktop to the /public_html/phpBB/images/smiles on your site. Try removing them, then retry your ftp, opening up the smiles directory on your computer. Don't feel bad...I do it all the time. After a few minutes of being upset that it didn't work, I spend a few minutes asking myself "Why did I do that?" Then just remove and re-add the files making sure I carefully look where I'm ftp'ing from and to!

Welcome to the forums. While i personally haven't used any of the carts, hopefully one of the many users of this program will chime in with their $.02. Anything else you need or want to know, just ask!

Welcome to the forums. In case you are looking for a web server that you can run locally to test out scripts and such before they are posted, try a google search for XAMMP.
