Until about a year ago, I never even considered purchasing a Mac. I needed a new laptop, and decided that the 12" PowerBook had the perfect weight/battery life for my needs. I hung around the Apple Store for a little while, played with OS X, and decided that I could live with it. Now, just over a year later, I find that I use my PowerBook for everything! I love being able to open up the Terminal and use my Unix knowledge, and when I'm done return to an excellent interface. I still use my Windows machines when the task at hand can be more quickly or easily accomplished using that OS, however the majority of my work can be done just as easily on OS X.

I use IMAP with my TCH account and it works perfectly. This way, all of my e-mail is always available from webmail and on all devices that I use to check it.

I just downloaded that file at over 500KB/s - Maxing out my 5 Mbit connection.

Most of the problems that I have seen with regard to upgrading to service pack 2 involve systems that are infested with either Spyware and/or Viruses. So far <almost> every computer that has been brought in to me with a botched upgrade has exhibited some form of malware infestation. This is not to say however, that other innocent programs cannot cause the upgrade to fail... They definately can! Also, I have found the full SP2 Update downloaded directly from Microsoft (NOT WINDOWS UPDATE) has a much higher success rate.

I also got the Quiznos ad, and I'm on my Mac... None of those pesky windows problems on this machine. Everything is fine now... Perhaps *Quiznos Subs!*

I received the first e-mail, however I did not receive the second one referenced above. I have noticed a lot of people complaining about not receiving all of the e-mails sent by TCH, but it is always explained away as a spam filter... Has anyone looked into the possibility that there is a problem with the e-mail distribution list? Oh yeah, I forgot to mention -Robert
