  1. Sounds like everyone is going to have some form of fun!

  3. Does anyone have any experience with BeOS? I remember a few years ago looking at it as an alternative to Windows 98... then I got XP. I still prefer UNIX/Linux over Windows, but I do have 2 machines (my laptop and our old desktop) at home that still run Windows. Either way... anyone that's ever used BeOS, what are your thoughts?
  4. Thanks Raul, I may try it yet. However, I'm being optimistic when I think maybe I'll have hundreds of people per hour visiting my site .

  6. From what I can tell DragonFly is phpnuke locked down like Fort Knox. Apparently it is more secure and... other things. Bug fixes. I just happened to stumble across it by accident. Too bad the neatest one I've found so far was Mambo
  7. For those of us who live in the USA, what are your plans for Memorial Day? My girlfriend and I are going camping, something I haven't done in about 3-5 years. We went out and bought a brand new tent tonight, it's pretty neat it's got an attached enclosed "patio". Anyways, again, what are your plans?
  8. I recently asked about Mambo, and was informed that (unless I have a low-traffic site) Mambo was too resource intensive for a virtual hosting account at TCH. How about Dragonfly CMS? Or is it pretty much CMS' in general? I'm curious and am experimenting with implementing a CMS into my site. Thanks guys!

  12. Whoops... wow yes I did mean Dick. Sorry! Oh I feel so silly now...
  13. Thanks Raul and Bruce for your prompt replies. I'll just keep it running on my server at home then
  14. Has anyone on TCH attempted to install Bugzilla (on a TCH account of course, I have it set up on my machines at home)? I was wondering what sort of success one had, as well as if bugzilla is allowed by TCH (I'm pretty sure it's not very resource intensive, no more so than phpbb for example, but I just want to be sure) on the virtual hosting accounts. Thanks guys!

  18. Alrighty... that's something I'm looking at in conjunction with a reseller account. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks Serpentine.

  20. Funny Robert, my account is on Server82... I wonder how you knew that (lol). Anyways, that's fine, but I was wondering if there was anything similar to ******/sqmail but secure, so that you would still see your domain name in the location bar. No biggie, was just a curious type.

  22. Thomas, is there a way to go to the secure login with the link you gave? For instance, I use webmail.mydomain.net to redirect to mydomain.net:2096/3rdparty/squirrelmail/index.php (you'll recall port 2096 is the secure login). Going back to my original question, is there a way to make yourdomain.net/sqmail point to the secure login? Or not? Thanks!

  24. I too have a cable modem, with dynamic IP. I have a Linksys router, and all the machines behind it have static IP's. I use no-ip's dynamic update client to keep the DNS info updated for my network. I guess that's off-topic huh? Yep, Windows uses ipconfig. Linux/UNIX uses ifconfig. I've become somewhat of a guru setting up a network by using these commands.
