  1. Feely (I'll pick up where I left off lol)
  2. How right you are Mike... if I was running it off my personal server Mambo wouldn't be a problem lol... shared hosting is another issue. I like Drupal, it's rather clean... decisions decisions.
  3. I like the looks of dragonflycms, that's one I've examined in the past. But what do programmers do when there really isn't anything that quite suits their every need? They program their own solution (Linus Torvalds anyone?)... even though I've never written anything in php (so I'm a little behind) I'm sure I can pick it up.
  4. Thanks Bruce and Don for your help, you guys are great!
  5. Welcome to the forums!
  6. But what I'm saying is as soon as the backup is generated, ftp it to a remote server (which is located at my house). So it only increases my used space for a few minutes at most. This functionality is available directly through cpanel, I was just wondering if I could "automate" it with a cron job.
  7. Welcome to the forums Eric!
  8. Thanks Thomas, I figured it was something similar. Now, how about setting up a cron job to perform a full backup and ftp it to my remote (at home) server?
  9. This may seem a bit silly, but... in cPanel, when I select "generate a full backup", does it do exactly what it's name implies (ie back up mysql db's, email, everything)? As for restoring by means of a full backup, how is that done? Would I provide the backup to TCH support and they do the restore? I know I can easily do a home directory and mysql db restore (I had to restore the db for my forums several times the last time I upgraded phpbb... silly me). But how does one do a full backup restore? Thanks TCH!

Have you checked with alltel? It may be something as simple as using ftp.alltel.com as the domain, your ISP assigned username and password for the login. You said they have no further instructions?
  13. Even though you had the "User-agent: *" at the top, the bot will first look through the file for the entry specific for it, and read the "User-agent: *" only if there is not a specific entry for it. My advice would be to put everything under "User-agent: *" and not have specifics for other bots (unless you have a specific reason for letting one bot read your .jpg's and not another bot).
  14. Just glad we could help. Let us know how this works out for you.

  17. Hi Oliver, welcome to the forums! First off, I've never installed MT, however I had a similar problem with phpBB, and it was in the way I set up the "cookie". Since I've never installed/used MT, I don't know if there is any way to change the options for the cookies it sets, but I'm sure someone else does. Once again, welcome!

  20. I always miss the easy explinations... lol
  21. As for as I know, this is. I'm assuming the PC you're using is running Windows, whereas the TCH servers are running Linux. If I remember right, each filesystem (NTFS or FAT32 on Windows, probably EXT2 or EXT3 on the TCH servers) stores data in different size blocks. That's without jumping into too much technical detail...
  22. Wow, that's a really big fish... hungry anyone?
  23. surefire, honestly I've contemplated that... what better way to learn php?
  24. What do you think about Geeklog? I'm still not too sure about Drupal.
