From spaghetti and pizza Land: Italy

Best wishes from Italy too, dear Friend. My mom survived three cancers, she is in wonderful shape now. YOU CAN beat it! Barbara

Thank you so much Lisa. I was wondering to have a kind of virus or to have put a wrong piece of code in my weblog somewhere... You never know!

I noticed on my awstats, that my biggest referrers are those unnamable sites you can see in the attached jpeg. I was wondering how it is possible that people looking at THOSE sites can be redirected to my weblog, where l talk (and in italian only, the english version has another url) of my child and my cat. Is there anything wrong maybe? Is there something l can do? Pretty confused...

Dsdemmin, l think it was just a matter of time. As l wrote, l put a redirect on 403 page, linking to the homepage of .net. In two days l saw the rebirth of the domain from 27th to 1st page of same research. And my customer was pretty happy (and stopped bothering me for the templates ). Another dummy question... A weblog page, in google cache, is relating to 13th March, even if it has had lots of more comments. Is there any "strange way" to speed up the re-caching, i.e. clicking on it or something else? I must admit Google is becoming my worst nightmare...

Because of their reliability: absolutely the best prices with, most of all, the best customer assistance l ever found! And l already found them two other customers, happy and crazy for TCH! Rock Sign

It helped a lot! I do not absolutely know how to put that redirect in ht.access.... uhm... But one thing l did today, was to redirect all 404 pages to the .net homepage: l noticed all posts number were different and, most of all, the one indexed with the .it were all in CFM, so were no longer available. Hope to see results soon, or Rolli will kill me!

Wow! Do you think l can patent my black cat? :Nerd:

I thought l made a terrible mistake when redesigning the template l was paid for, the one of the weblog http://www.rolliblog.net. I thought that, using table to align the columns, the Google spider considered all pages without contents. I think it did not happen. The strange thing l noticed, anyway, is that Google indexes the alias (http://www.rolliblog.it) parked on this domain, and not the .net. Same templates, same keywords. One is up to date and the other is still one month ago in the cache. Yahoo is completely correct: both the domains are indexed. Considering that my customer would like to abandon the .it domain, do you have any suggestion to give me to improve the Google rate, or better, to make Google understand that there is another domain? I already submitted the new site from the CPanel and from Google home... but nothing. I think now l need the help of SuperTcHJim, l read all posts on Google he wrote!!!

Uh, great! I just have to check if it is compatible with this http://www.usr-emea.com/products/p-wireles...axs-pt&loc=itly (always making sure this is the model covered with dust in a corner of my living room... )

Sad part is that due to high fraud and no way to easily combat it from overseas many companies do not ship overseas. UK web shops might though since you are still in the neighborhood. By the way, who makes your wi-fi device? Uhm... it is the wi-fi device of my internet provider, Fastweb. If l don't make a mistake, should be a US Robotics, now l'm at work
-
Sob... they do not ship international Thanks everybody for precious hints

I was proud user of a Sony Vaio PCG-F690, old and reliable laptop. I was using wi-fi high speed connection, from my pc-mcia port. The problem is that now, having a new HP Pavillion 820A, l can't find a pc-mcia adapter in italian stores to be installed in a pc. It seems only laptops can use this kind of devices!!! I understand l can't use a pc like a laptop, walking around the house with my internet connection active, but when it is the only way to get connected it becomes a problem. I have now about 6 meters fiber cable crossing my livingroom, not so nice, does not match with my forniture Do you have any suggestion of online stores where l can apply to? Thanks!

I read here in forums that direct links are not so well in line with the policy... You can find the link in the left column of my home page, but l just put an introductory post: l will translate some other posts from archives soon, and every new post will be translated the same day it is published in the italian weblog
-
Starting from today, 1st June, l will publish my weblog in english version too Hope someone find it interesting: above all we talk about cats, lovely babies, www and fun stuff. Enjoy reading, if you want!

He answered does not accept .biz domains... 'cause most of them are spammers But most of all, from home, as italian cable provider Fastweb has public ip for more than fifty user, including me, l am even banned and get 403 error. Hope italian mt-blacklist users will not use the same configuration...
-
They don't accept comments from my site!!! They consider http://bloggy.biz as a spammer! How do they dare? Mad!!!
-
Does anyone know a script or a tag to avoid commenters to use hyphens, dots and semicolumns as user name, especially in MT? They are impossible to be included in MTBlacklist, or to be banned as you can not determine which ip will use interpunction. Actually l know l should take java and html lessons...
-
Welcome in this crazy bloggers world I don't understand how l could find your url in my referrers... maybe a cat's blog and a dog's blog united by friendship?
-
I know Raul, but my css knowledge is not enough to start rebuilding this template from the beginning... Website owner wants that layout, already modified to her needs (it took me 3 days to find the correct combination between font size, colors, columns... a very demanding customer Mad!!! ) and, as you told me, it was almost impossible to work it out without cleaning up the code and start all over. I only choose the easiest solution not to loose other precious nights of sleeping
-
I did it!!! I found a way to put the two columns in the middle of the page, independently from screen resolution! Just put a "table" command at the top of the page with valign=top, and changed divs in tds, erasing margins from stylesheet. Now Rolliblog is finished! [pleased Black Cat]
-
With my efficient method (try, if it does not work, go back and try something else ) l definitely solved the problem. The text was inside a box, called "menubox". If you give the position "absolute" to this box, it enables highlighting for all box contents and not single words. If you change position to "center" it works correctly. I could not work it out to align the two columns together at the center of the page, with an high resolution, it still shows everything on the left side of the page. Neither float, or position center, both with fixed, auto, or non specified margins, worked
-
Mmmmhhh, what if l change divs in tds? (Only ones identifying columns, naturally)
-
Ok, now l do not have to book a room in a phsychiatric Maybe it is necessary to use particular codes in html to make it work with IE? The 85% of Rolli's readers use this browser
-
Unfortunately, Raul, from posts in the home page l can only select big blocks of text. If you go to the individual entry page, everything can be selected normally. So, it is not a Browser problem (IE 6) but something in the HTML code or the CSS... And l can't really work it out! Tonight l try to rearrange the divs as you suggested. Thank you!
