  1. I have used a couple of different Linksys WAPs and all have performed flawlessly. I've connected Gateway laptops with built-in WiFi G, Dells with their WiFi B card, a Compaq Armada with a Cisco 340 WiFi card (actually a XCircom brand but it's the same thing), and a Sony Clie NX70V with a Sony WL100 Compact Flash WiFi card. I haven't seen any problems (that weren't user induced !!) Hey Larry, what's the firmware alternative you mentioned? I didn't know there was an alternative to the standard Linksys firmware.
  2. tchstatus.com appears to be refusing connections on port 8080 at the moment. My On/Offline icons are not displaying, and if I browse to the URL, I get a 'Connection Refused' error.

  7. Free would be good!! But seriously, if it were a capable app, and did what was required, I wouldn't mind paying for it, but probably up to about $100. I did check out the TCH Third Party Apps page, and there is a calendar on there, which, after a little investigation, can be made to import Outlook CSV files using a 'Fourth party' PHP script. I will have to check it out. This is for my wife's business website, so she is pretty picky about appearance, and she likes the way the Outlook export looks, so I may be forced to do i the hard way. HAve you seen how many files Outlook creates to generate a months worth of calendar code!!
  8. I am looking for a calendar to incorporate into a website that can accept info from MS Outlook. I know Outlook has a export to HTML feature, but it is rather clunky, and generates a lot of files, which makes it high maintenance. I'd like to find something that can import the data from Outlook , then generate a more streamlined version, either on my client end for upload, or at the server (has to be TCH compliant). Alternatively, some type of server app (again TCH compliant) that will sync data with Outlook would work. Anyone know of anything that might work? Thanks,

  16. If your dhcp clients are configured as default , and they (and the dchp server) are never powered off, then they should never lose their leases. In fact, the MS dhcp clients are configured to try to renew their leases starting halfway through their current lease. This gives them plenty of time to renew, should the DHCP server be unavailable for some reason. I have seen some posts referencing problems with DHCP and software firewalls (Norton Internet Security specifically). http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,8085479~mode=flat If you are running one, try turning it off temporarily to see if the errors go away. You may need to configure the FW to be less stringent with DHCP traffic. I personally don't use software firewalls, so I'm afraid I won't be of much assistance there.
