  1. Thanks. Bruce, has there *ANY* change at the server level that could possibly affect this? I'm on Server 53. Do I need to enter a help desk ticket?
  2. Done. No change. What now? Yes I uploaded in binary mode. It was working when I installed it. Something has to have changed. Where can I start to look? -kj-
  3. How do I do that? Thanks!
  4. I've already got a support session going with the author on his site. I am not expecting support here, just looking for confirmation that others here using this particular script are ok. Was working fine when I installed it. Stopped working days later, dunno why, didn't find out until my colleagues started complaining. Here is the form: http://www.ncs-tech.org/ufm/request-master.php Just wondering if maybe there was some sort of change at TCH that affected this thing. I've already tried four different destination email addresses from different providers and eliminated spam filters as the possible problem. Thanks for any help. -kj-
  5. done, thanks
  6. Thanks for the fast reply. I am currently browsing your forums and I have the install PDF file open. I need some quick help. I have a working form designed to use FORMMAIL (was working great right up through last week, but as requested by TCH I've deleted the script). I have installed UFM and recieved my temporary license. I need to know how to change my existing HTML to make my form use your engine. I can figure it out myself if given time, but, we're in a minor emergency given that our technology equipment reservation system is now borked. Can you or anyone help? I'm reasonably good with HTML and PHP (I'm our district webmaster and we run PostNuke). Thanks...
  7. Is this script free or not? It appears to be offering a 'free trial'? -kj-
  8. x2 I can't believe we've been using it all this time. I've got to scramble now to replace a production system here at my school that as of last week was working fine. Arg. :# -kj-
  9. Wonderful. Thanks. Will do. Guess I missed the announcement?
  10. Hi all. Hope someone can help. Have been using this formmail variant for years. #!/usr/bin/perl -wT ############################################################################## # nms Formmail Version 1.00 (cvs v1.87) # # Copyright 2001 London Perl Mongers All rights reserved # # Created 11/11/01 Last Modified 05/24/02 # # Matt's Script Archive: http://www.scriptarchive.com/ # ############################################################################## # nms Formmail has been created as a drop in replacement for the FormMail # # found at Matt's Script Archive. Both the original and nms versions of this # # script can be found at the above URL. Support for nms Formmail is # # available through: nms-cgi-support@lists.sourceforge.net # ############################################################################## # # $Id: FormMail.pl,v 1.87 2002/05/23 20:47:35 nickjc Exp $ # Here's the calling page: http://www.ncs-tech.org/request-master.htm Has worked great but all of a sudden I'm having issues. The form appears to be processing only some of the time. I've tried creating another version of the Perl script and HTML form, with proper referrers and all, but it's not working. I don't understand ... this was all good last week and I've not changed anything since. I see several threads here about better formmail solutions, particularly Ultimate Form Mail, and I think I will investigate those, but I'm in a bind here and need to know if I can fix this script easily. Is there some sort of delay in mail processing I don't know about? If I send mail to the address used in the form, it arrives instantly. Any input is appreciated! Thanks, kj
  11. Hi everyone, Thanks for this script. I'm close to getting it working. I've disabled the login code, moved the config.php to a folder outside public_html, and edited all settings properly (as far as I can tell). The stats page loads, there is frenzied activity on the status bar (things loading, etc.) then it finishes and I get a blank page. Happens in FF and IE. I've checked for blank lines at the end of config.php and the script itself, no luck. Once I get it working I'll password protect the folder in cpanel but I haven't done that yet. What can I check? I did see something that confused me - is there only ONE config.php, in the folder outside of public_html? Or is there two, one pointing to the other? (I did make the change in the 'require once' section of the script). Thanks in advance, -kj-
  12. Thanks Bruce, are they accurate and will they correspond to the AWStats figures? I know different scripts can count differently. I use Sitemeter counters and they have been okay but I want something fast and reliable. I started researching AWStats then realized TCH had it installed by default. Thanks again.
  13. Any chance AWStats can display a counter of any kind? I can see the stats in CPanel. Thanks
  14. Thanks Rob. Can you elaborate? Oddly enough, I can't access my cpanel right now. Site appears to be up though. Tracerts seem to be showing increasing delays. Just trying to educate myself here - thanks for your help. -kj-
  15. In the short time I have used it this site has proved indispensible in diagnosing site performance issues. I would hope/like to request that TCH tell all their customers about it when they complain about slow performance. These tools are far superior to a plain DOS tracert, which is what I have been told to use before. I got the link from a PostNuke user forum ... glad it's of use (and well known here already). Knowledge is power... -kj-
  16. Seems quite handy! http://www.dnsstuff.com/ -kj-
  17. Thanks Bruce. Just trying to explore all possible explanations for this behavior before I move on to other options. I was hoping someone here had experienced this. If not, then we can gradually narrow down the possible causes. I'm about to have our network tech get involved. We do some pretty sophisticated stuff with our firewall and I'm wondering if there is any connection. I also can't run a tracert from within our domain because of the way our network is set up (hard to explain, I'm not the network tech.) Will keep investigating.
  18. We run several Wordpress blogs at my school. Our school website also runs PostNuke. I am working with TCH on a range of possible explanations for this behavior but want to be sure there isn't something awry with my WP or PostNuke setup. Anyway, basic WP installs here, v2.0 (v2.0.1 coming soon). Blog loads fine, some users can get in, but others can't. As soon as they click 'login' it gives an error saying it can't connect to the DB. The login form isn't even displayed. DB is running because some are in. Here's the weird part. We discovered that if a user clicks on a comment link, and authenticates from THAT form, they can get in, every time we tried. Anyone experience problems like this before? This link is the one failing: http://www.ncs-nj.org/blogs/bookclub/wp-login.php This link is the one that works: http://www.ncs-nj.org/blogs/bookclub/wp-lo...s/bookclub/?p=1 These links are probably working fine right now, so, no need to report that. I'll post here in about 10 mintues if there are problems, we've got a class coming in. Something is clearly interfering with the process. I've been told each time this happens that the servers are healthy and running normally. I'm at a loss here. Any help would be appreciated. TIA, -kj-
  19. Same question - ready to edit the file but can't find it - thanks! EDIT: disregard - found it via CPanel. -kj-
  20. That's exactly what I did. I restored a file provided by TCH from several days prior and saw no change in the db whatsoever. How long does the process take for a 1.2mb SQL file? Is there a 'process complete' box or anything? All I got was 'done' in the status bar of the browser after it uploaded. Thanks, kj
  21. Sorry for being unclear, thought I'd specified that, clearly didn't - that's EXACTLY what I need ... how do we make this happen? Thanks a ton! -kj-
  22. Thanks Tom. I was asked by our network admin if there was a way to automate the process on our end using FTP. Any thoughts on that? Possible? Or not worth the trouble? TIA, -kj-
  23. Hi everyone, What is the process for restoring a MySQL backup? I'm familiar with CPanel, I have the backup file, but when I tried to restore it, nothing seemed to change. PLEASE NOTE: I AM NOT REQUESTING A RESTORE OF ANY DATABASE!!! Just want to know how to do it in case I need to again. Thanks, kj
  24. Hi all, Is it daily, every other, or something else? Thanks! -kj-
