I recently followed some online advice [i know before you tell me ] and submitted my site to World Wide Promoter [enable popup stopper or whatever you've got] and as advertised I got listed on a whole load of search engines very quickly, I also recieved 123 junk emails, . Thats right. . . suprised my server didn't spot something with that quantity flying to me at once. Anyone planning on doing the same be warned and use an unimportant email address. I need to keep the address active because they validate it weekly. Oh no! Head Bash But I have since recieved confirmations from most of the sites [google, yahoo, altavista, alltheweb, blh blah blah. . .] saying my site has been submitted so if you can tolerate the SPAM its a useful tool.

I use to use a link tranker that records referers [urllog] but you can access referral stats through the cpanel [ Rock Sign ] and any odd url [eg. notmydomain.com] stands out and are usually hotlinkers. Simply check the refferal address and hey presto GOTCHA!!!!

I've heard of a bloke sue a radio station cos they said if anyone tatooed their logo onto their forehead they'd pay them $1'000'000 or something like that. After the listener did it they informed it was a joke and they didn't expect anyone would be stupid enough to do it. . . then refused to pay up.

Who? I have no access to this domains cpanel as it was registered by the wholey useless oneandone web hosting [supposedly british?]. I will try to contact them again as they have assured me the DNS was done three days ago now.

Question: Do I need to do anything in the Cpanel to activate a domain that is being directed here? Me having a winge: My old server assured me the DNS entries have been changed on saint52.com to yours [which I provided] and that it would take 24-48 hours to complete, this was a week ago ! I have had to phone them twice and have sent eight emails regarding this subject. How hard can it be? My other old server [don't ask] offered instant replies to my emails while setting up and yet now I am trying to obtain a cancellation and refund, again two weeks have passed with no outcome. I would advise anyone to avoid these servers [obviously if they're here but hey?] especially 1T3 who offer unlimited bandwith [like that exists] and whose customer support team, sales department and all other departments is one bloke who funnily enough appears to be the only customer who has positively rated they're server on the reviews sites. And oneandone webhosting whose packages and option are as flexible as a concrete block, and whose control panel kicks you out every 30mins [security my a**e] and even loads s..l..o..w..l..y.. on ADSl. With so many naff servers out there what a refreshing change to find TCH. If only there was some sort of regulation of these servers. . .
