Just wondering if you guys could check out this new layout I am working on. I used TopStyle Pro to create a simple style sheet and applied it using Dreamweaver 4 to the new layout I am working on. For some reason it's not working and it throws the whole design off. Also... a strange issue I am having with IE6. Some of my images are not showing up. I've checked on other systems and the images show up fine. But when I use IE6 on my machine some graphics and PHP code don't show up at all. I checked with Mozilla and Navigator and they work fine. Should I uninstall IE6 and try re-installing it? Strange problem. The link to the layout I am working on is: http://www.indiemanagers.com/new_site/layout.htm The CSS is not working in any browser. Not sure why that is. Thanks, Nat

I know! OMG... I am going thru them now. There are so many... guess I will have to try out a few to see which one best suits the purpose. Thanks so much for that link Lisa! Nat

Hey gang... Anyone know where I can find either a CGI or PHP script for a Poll that allows for multiple questions. I am looking for something that allows for up to 10 questions with a multiple choice answer... like yes, no, not applicable etc. If anyone knows of a good place to start the hunt, please let me know. Thanks, Nat

Ok cool.. thanks Rob When I tried to access the DNSStuff.com URL last night the page wasn't displaying. I'll try again. Nat

Just downloaded the free version NeoTrace. It's saying that it can't connect to the server to get maps. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks for the help yesterday, someone looked up the IP for me and I got the info. Nat

Thanks everyone. Time for me to get Neotrace I think. Seems like anytime I release a new single or album this same person pops up, if it is who I think it is. Just disgusting really. Anyway... hope I don't have to go thru this stalking thing again... been there done that, it SUCKS! Weezy- I can't get into the protected reseller forum as I am not a reseller. You can PM me tho if that is easier. Thanks again everyone. Nat

Hey gang... Won't get into detalis, but I am trying to find out what location a harasser to my site is coming from, but can't seem to find out using ARIN. I plugged in the IP that I got from a nasty message on my MB, but it came up with this: Is there a better way to look up an IP or is this person using some kind of anonymizer? Thanks, Nat

Kevan, My system is kind of old. I have a 550Mhz Pentium 3 with 256MB RAM The drive is a ROM-Burner Brand: Sony 32X/10X/40X The drive is about 2 years old. I am hoping to get a new system... but I am backing up everything using what I have. So technically if I copy any data CD it is going to be an ISO (image of the disk) file? Thanks for your help. Nat
-
Kevan, Thanks for the info. What If I was backing up my software? If I did a "Copy CD' function in Easy CD Creator 5 would it work just like the original if anything ever happened to the original disk? I am on a backup mission! Thanks, Nat
-
Bill, To find that file would I just search for *.iso? Thanks, Nat
-
Ahhhhhhhh! OK, now I get it. So if I copy an audio CD using EZ CD Creator 5 is is gonna be an ISO file? If I back up other things like software are these ISO files as well or are they something else. I am backing up all the programs I have on disk after hearing about how CD's can disintigrate... I just wanna know if they will work should I ever need them and if I would need something special to open an ISO file. Nat

Lisa, Yeah i have been meaning to check TB out. I think I may have found the culprit. I recently signed up for a newsletter and these issues started happening around that time. I notice the newsletter is heavy HTML formated... goodness only knows what else it's trying to load. I unsubscribed and then did a few maneuvers to delete those newlsetters and so far so good. Grrrr hate people who send you stuff that craps out your system. Thanks so much, Nat

Yikes! Hope someone here can help me shed some light on this issue I am having. I have Outlook 2000 on my Windows 98 SE OS. Running a 550mHz processor, 256MB RAM. A few days ago I noticed something fishy with Office SB 2000 in general. I went to Start > Open Office Document and it asked me for the SB 1 Install disk to perform the action, which is abnormal. I inglored that and got the Word file a different way. Then about 3 days ago Outlook started to act fishy. It would hang while downloading email and then it started to not let me open or delete files. Now it opens, but it won't let me do a thing. I backup Outlook every day, so I figured that if I uninstalled Office 2000 and reinstalled it it would fix the issue. I uninstalled both SR-1 and SR-2 from my OS. I then rebooted and re-installed. THe only thing I did notice was that C > Program Files > Microsoft Office Folder was still there with a bunch of stuff in it. I didn't trash the file before re-installing, I just installed over the folder. Finished the re-install and then I opened Outlook. To my surprise all my email etc was there already. The email started to download and that little Norton Email Scanner thng went nuts, really rapid... strange also. But maybe not as I haven't been able to check email from Outlook for 2 days now. Anyway, Outlook froze again. When it freezes as simple End Task will not shut it down. I have to do a hard shut down and then re-boot. I just did a full system virus scan on 05/04 and the system was clean. I also have Spysweeper and did a scan, nothing came up. I'm running Norton Internet Security 2004, which itself has been buggy this last week. I have no clue what could be causing this problem. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please post here. Thanks so much, Natalie

Another blonde question, I'm sure... But what the heck is a .ISO file and what does it do? Thanks, Nat

Well.. I posted this in another forum I frequent and someone said: What a bummer

Here's a strange thing... I just tried to play audio from Windows Media Player... one link was on my hard drive and one was online... got this error: "Windows Media Player cannot find the specified file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is the file does not exist at the specified location or the computer where the file is located is offline." Why would I get that error for two files that are not offline or where the path is correct? Also wanted to mention... I have several audio/video players installed on my system. Perhaps one or more of them are at odds with one another? Just a thought.. don't know if there is any merit to such a thought... but wanted to point that out in case there is some conflict. These are the players (all are the free versions): RealPlayer Version 10.0. Build 6.0.12.857 Helix Powered Distribution RN30BB Windows Media Player Version 9.00.00.2980 Muiscmatch Jukebox Version 8.20.0107 DivX Version 2.5.3 Winamp Version 5.03

I did find Gspot and run it. It said I had the correct Codecs... but still the AVI file won't play. I even downloaded the DivX Free player and that hangs as well. Could it be my system? I'm baffled! Nat
-
Richard, I went to Tools -> Options -> File Types... and .avi is selected. It just hangs. In fact, it even hangs when I try to play Windows Media music files from the web. It's strange. Nat
-
For some reason I can't get Windows Media Player to play anything on this system. I even got the latest version. Everything just hangs for some reason. It says "connecting" and then nothing happens. Are the latest DivX codecs available for WMP? If so, how do I get them? I don't know why I can't play this thing! Don- if I PMed you the link to the file, do you think you could try opening it and see what happens on your end? Nat

Here's a question to those familiar with the AVI format.... I have downloaded some Video Photoshop tutorials from surreal-utopia.com. They are around 18-30MB's each and in AVI video format. The site said to make sure you have the latest DivX codec, so I downloaded the DivX player and the codec bundle. I also downloaded the latest version of RealPlayer and the latest Direct X. I can't seem to get the AVI files to play. They freeze my system and don't play at all. I went to to the DivX player and tried to open the file... absolutely nothing happens... same goes for RealPlayer. I am running Win 98SE, 550mHz, PIII, ATI Radeon 7500 GFX card. Anyone know what the issue could be? I checked the system requirements for DivX and Real and I meet them, tho just barely. If someone knows of a better player or some way to find out why the files don't run, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Nat

Hey guys! Thanks for the info and suggestions. I did try neilsen ratings... but for the life of me I couldn't decipher much. They had some average monthly stats, but not really what I was looking for. As you all stated, gettting stats is very pricey! LOL It is hard to find current info. I guess with all the privacy concerns, specific info is hard to come by. I just wanted to figure out what the rate of internet use growth is and how many people buy online. But the figures are all over the place! Thanks again for the help. This is such a great place Nat

I was wondering if there is a company that keeps accurate figures on how many people in the US/Canada and worldwide use the internet for email, making purchases, surfing, entertainment etc. I have done a few searches using the tems: How many people use the internet How many people are online Haven't come up with a firm figure of how many internet users there are and the actual rate of growth of users per day. If anyone knows how I could refine my search to come up with better stats, I'd appreciate it. Or, if you know of a consortium or company that keeps tabs, I'd love to know the link. Thanks, Nat

Thanks! I viewed the source and saw PoBox.js... but had no idea what the url prefix was. Thanks for helping me out! Nat

Check out this page: http://www.vincentyodis.com/Models/model-donnal.asp You will see in the thumbnail image box, on the top right hand side some text that says "model/shoot info". When you click it this semi-transparent box with info pops up in the center of the screen. Anyone know where I could find this script? Thanks, Nat
