Hi everyone, I'm very excited to announce my first-ever recording of a solo acoustic guitar original tune. I recorded it tonight on my Fostex MR-8mkII digital recorder, then transferred it to my PC for mp3 conversion. The song is called "The Feel" and represents (for me) the importance of putting your heart and soul into everything you do (well, things that are important to you). I used to play this song on electric bass in past bands, but have been practicing hard on acoustic guitar in the last year, trying to learn the art of playing groove and melody simultaneously. Yeah, I've been using Maxthon and Firefox for quite a while now. I do like Maxthon, I think it's got a lot of very nice options...like any software application you just have to spend a good deal of time using it to utilize its full capabilities. Nice to hear that someone else uses it. Stefan

Thanks for the tip Yes, Fantastico does have the latest version (2.0.2) ready for installation. I've already added some additional themes and plugins; they're working fine.

OKAY, I just used Fantastico (for the first time since it was installed at TCH) to install Wordpress. It WORKED great! I think maybe I used the wrong configurations for my own installation (I was installing within a sub-domain, but specified the folder name, not the specific sub-domain name). Thank you TCH for giving us this nice gift. I wasn't planning to use Fantastico, but I forced my own hand. Stefan

Hi, I've installed Wordpress several times, cleared the SQL datatbase, (Wordpress version 2.0.2), but the Presentation & Plugin menus display blank pages after I've logged in as Admin. I'm assuming it's either a cliche in my cPanel or the way the server (26) is setup. Anyway, no biggie, but I wonder if anyone else has this issue with Wordpress 2.0.2. thanks, Stefan

Okay, I validated the main Wordpress page at the "World Wide Web Consortium" (or W3C) site. Here is the result: The document located at <http://www.phatfunkjazz.com/stefan/wordpress/> was checked and found to be valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional. This means that the resource in question identified itself as "XHTML 1.0 Transitional" and that we successfully performed a formal validation using an SGML or XML Parser (depending on the markup language used). The problem seems to be in how I setup the configuration from the Admin section of Wordpress. From reading the forums at WordPress web site, there have been many users who experienced similar problems. Stefan

Thanks surefire, I checked it out, but since Wordpress has several php files that generate the final page, it's not so simple for me to find the file that is putting out the source code. I'll find it...you betcha! Stefan

I have a couple web sites hosted here at TCH. Recently, I had to cancel one of the accounts (the band is breaking up) and requested that my account be deleted at the end of the service. So I pre-paid one more month to allow the band to inform its fanbase (okay, maybe 15 or 20, but still fans) of its demise before the web site goes down. An honest mistake by TCH, all our data was deleted too soon; I couldn't access any of our files. I contacted the Help Desk to express my disappointment. They immediately checked out the situation, apologized, then I was contacted several times (all within a 24-hour period), finally (and quickly), Tech Support managed to recover all my data, allowing me to complete my mission. I want to THANK TCH for the excellent response. I felt that the Tech Support team reflected the values that TCH advertises. One more thing, I learned a valuable lesson, that is: BACKUP all my important data myself. I hadn't been doing that prior to this adventure...just kind of expected that everything is safe and secure. But if I had been taking more responsibility for my personal data, this experience wouldn't have been so dramatic. peace, Stefan

Just curious, has anyone else had this experience in Wordpress 2.0? After a seamless installation, then posting any new item, the sidebar simply disappears. I've checked the Wordpress Help Forums, read the documentation, and tried several "fixes". The curious thing is, I have never had this issue prior to this version. hi bgolder, I just tried that too, but I couldn't find the entry...I think the email filter wasn't created. Where did you find it? I've been using the same strategy as you: created a SPAM folder, then had spam redirected into that folder, where I could delete it. But I get tired of deleting all that spam everyday. thanks, Stefan

Glad to see you posting info about Lazarus Guestbook. I already use it on a couple of my web sites. I got sick and tired of dealing with Advanced Guestbook's vulnerability to spammers, despite all the hacks and fixes that I tried to implement. Thank you for Lazarus, a great little program.
