Carbonize, Regardless of your feelings about this forum, why would you take such a positive thread and turn it into your personal soap box! You are off base and in my view wrong. If you do not like the forums here at TCH, then I suggest you do not visit them any longer. Why put yourself thru such agony. Thread's get locked for various reasons all of which are for the moderators to decide. Not the users of the forums. The moderators on these boards are all non-paid volunteers. They don't get a dime for spending the amount of time they do here. I for one think they do a excellent job on the forums. If you don't like them or the forums then simply go away. As you well know problems can not always be solved by one moderator. So instead of ignoring a post they simply say hello to the poster. Where I come from that's called courtesy. Enough said. Let's get this topic back on track.

Just because your stats did not update doesn't indicate that others stats did the same. Most likely the tech only ran your stats.

Sorry to strongly disagree with you. Here is why. I have seen MANY accounts hacked into due to account usernames. It is 100% the opposite of counterproductive. It is very productive. Security should be of paramount importance to end users. We changed this policy because customers wanted user names like "Jeff" or "web". Now think how easy it would be for a person with malintent to hack into your account when you have such a easy to determine username. There are scripts that can guess 10,000 usernames per minute. This has nothing to do with writing down your username or keeping it in your email. It is really bigger than that. I am sorry however the username policy is not up for discussion.
