Hi,

I have two websites host at TCH

www.planetphillip.com and www.blazebolden.com

Neither of them are loading on my PC. All other sites run fine. They are both on the same server 51 or 57 ( :D sorry can't remember which).

When I load the blaze one, the index page loads but nothing else, the planet one nothing loads. The Cpanel password appears but it never connects.

I thought my problem was the routing issue but I still can't see them.

Any ideas?

Both appear with no problems from Florida. This may sound foolish, but have hit the "Refresh" button on the browser, right? (I've made THAT mistake!)

Your both sites loads fine here.

On bolden... i am being forward to a forum.

On planet, I tried only one link but hompage loads fine and quickly.

As for cpanel, i dont know.

You can clear your Internet cache (instructions are different for each browser) and try again.

Also, you can use an online traceroute from traceroute.org or, if using Windows, go to a DOS window (start>run>command or cmd, or Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt) and typing

tracert www.planetphillip.com
or
tracert www.blazebolden.com

If you do not end up at a totalchoice server or your website, then you are dying along the route and it is your ISP.

Good luck

This is really strange.

When I load my FTP application, I came login and see the first level of folders; etc, public_html etc. But when I try to acces any folder it just times out. It's the same for both domains.

I tried using my laptop and it's the same, so it's definatley something to do with my ISP. Unfortunately they never reply to my emails and calling them takes ages.

The tracert seemed to respond normally.

Spooky

I just poked around on both sites and had no issues whatsoever. I did notice that it appears that planetphillip is no deeper than 2, maybe 3 levels, so digging deep is not an option.

With the speed of loads and such i saw, I would tend to confirm that it is your ISP.

I even went in through a couple of proxies just to make sure it was not only my area. Who is your ISP... I will see if i can find a route in through them.

I connected yesterday with a 56K dial up and can view everything, so it really does sound like the ISP. I will call them tody, it's really hard to find an english speaker on support! My Spanish is just not good enough.

One thing that is strange is that there are now other sites I can't reach. Winguides.com is one. I had a look through the forums for family members' sites I assume are on TCH.

I can't reach these:

http://www.davejenbarnes.com/

Maybe they are on the same server as me?

But CAN reach these:

http://www.ukraineonline.net/

http://www.webdevarticles.com/

http://www.ibp-west.com/

http://www.playgroundpros.com/

I can't understand how I can access TCH but not my sites.

Glenn,

My ISP is Terra, the ADSL division of Telefonica here in Spain.

Youneverknow,

Thanks for the info, It does that in FP preview but works OK in the browsers I checked. I will look into it. I've just got Dreamweaver, so maybe that can help me.

Phillip,

The reason you can reach TCH and not some of the sites TCH hosts is because they have several data centers across the US. And apparently the route to the server TCH is on is not affected.
