I'm seeing a lof of "modded" computers in all of the contest pics. for those that dont know what a mod is, its taking something boring (like a computer case) and turning it into something nice to look at.

If your anything like me you like talking about and showing off your PC. So lets hear it from all of the hardware geeks, whatcha got? what have ya done to make your PC uniquely you instead of just another off white square box you hide under a desk?

My current case is what those "in the know" call a pre mod, when it was sent to me it already had a window in the side, a couple of LED fans and a "blow hole" in the top. I do custom mods as well, I made a "flower power" case for my wife, with a peace sign window in the side and hippy flowers painted all over the case (unfortunately no pics) And I have a "medieval case" I have been working off and on for months, and various other "works in progress. The modders tool of choice is a dremel (or other brand rotary tool) jigsaws, files, bondo, model kits, soldering irons etc.

Heres a few pics of the midieval case I've been working on

Thanks, I've actually done a bit more to it since those pics were taken, it has a functioning wooden drawbridge to cover the cdrom bays, that opens and closes using the motor and gears from an old cdrom.

The bricks were made using 10" X 10" architectural models filled with bondo, once it cured they were peeled out and glued to the case then cracks filled in with more bondo. Everything was painted flat black and then dry brushed with white and grey to give it more texture
