smgcircle Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Is anyone using a service to monitor if their Web site is up, and to send an SMS message if there is a problem. I know that TCH monitors everythiing, but I would like to be notified in real time iif the Web site or SMTP or whatever is not available. Thanks for your help! Steve Quote
youneverknow Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Here is a simple one but the catch is your computer needs to stay on 24/7 and a always on connection like dsl or cable...here is the url to the FREE monitor. http://www.play-free-games.com/free-softwa...r/monitor.shtml PS the problem with doing it this way is that you really should run two of these apps at once...one as a control to say yahoo.com and the other to your site. This program will show a web site down but in reality your internet connection is broken or out of service. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 You could try a site like www.dotcom-monitor.com they offer a light version for free that can send a message to your cell phone. I believe the free service is only if your web site is down. They offer more premium services for a fee. Quote
Head Guru Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 New Service Offering coming from TCH. Stay tuned... HINT HINT HINT Quote
