TCH-Sales
TotalChoice Hosting was always one of my top picks when I was looking around for a host, and now I can say I am happy I decided to sign up here. I'm already started on sugesting you guys to any of my friends looking for a new host, so this is a pat on the back for all you who have already made my stay here so wonderful. curtis
I go to cPanel and I'm like a kid in a candy store. My last host had very limited resources, only 2 or 3 preinstalled cgi scripts, the barest of stats,NO support to speak of,you get the idea of what I mean. This is great. Now to get a book on cgi/perl. curtis
KevinW
Wahoo -- Curtis is getting a book on CGI/PERL. I always said: if you've got the book, you're the expert! -kw
curtis
KW, Even with a book, I'm sure, there will still be many, many questions for the people here to answer for me. I will be the first to admit I don't know beans about cgi but I may be at the front of the class when it comes to wanting to learn. curtis
SEO
Now to get a book on cgi/perl. I am not a Perl whiz-bang but I know several people who are, the O'Reilly series is the only books they recommend.
rayners
I concur. If you're buying tech/programming books, the best place to start is with O'Reilly.
TCH-Don
Don't forget a book on PHP, (if you need it)
rayners
Who needs a PHP book when there's http://www.php.net? Though I imagine the PHP Cookbook could come in handy.
TCH-Don
Who needs a PHP book when there's http://www.php.net? Yes, I agree, it is a great site. I like their link page too. Very helpful when I wanted to make a simple text version of a page counter. I still have a long way to go, so I carry a book with me when I know I will have to wait somewhere. curtis
Thanks everyone, I will look at O'Reillys. While I don't think I will try to be an expert at cgi and or perl I want enough know-how to get me in trouble Thanks again. Curtis
KevinW
I've added both PHP sites to my web site at tch.kwsupport.com under PHP/MySQL -kw
