I need a breakdown of the fees/features for using SSL on a reseller account: -why is there a setup fee AND an annual fee? -why shouldn't I go to verisign or somewhere to get my own cert. for $35-50 a year instead of paying you $85? -what are the major differences and/or benefits of getting a dedicated ssl certificate versus using the free shared one? 2. Does purchasing a reseller account allow me to set up an infinite number of websites and sell those to other people if I wish? ie. could I become my own "host" without having to tell people I use totalchoicehosting.com as my hosting provider? 3. Why was my other forum account suspended and why are my tickets being closed without responses? - I simply asked for my money back from a $5 plan I puchased a couple weeks ago and decided not to use. I only want the 30-day money back guarantee to be followed through.

The set-up fee is to pay for proper set-up of the certificate on the server and moving to a dedicated IP. You can purchase the certificate elsewhere if you wish but would still need to pay the $35 for set-up. The major benefits of having a dedicated certificate is that it is accessed using your domain name and not server##.totalchoicehosting.com. It is also simpler to get your code working correctly with the dedicated certificate. 2) Yes, you can have as many domains as you wish on your reseller account within package limits. Each account would have their own CPanel and controls. 3) I didn't see any posts from your other account and cannot speak to that issue. I can say that we don't respond well to rudeness and "Give me my refund and don't give me any excuses. " is not the best way to close a message.
Head Guru Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Your refund was processed. Our paypal refunds are done a batch level, meaning it can take several days to process a refund. Also, read the Terms of Service closely and you would note that refunds are subject to a 30 day cancellation period. Meaning we have 30 days to refund and cancel your account. In reality your account was cancelled in just a couple of days! Your forum account was closed because you cancelled your service. I have manually batched your refund from our system, please check your paypal account for the $5.00 Thread closed.
