I want to give some of the guys on the forum some access to the site via ftp. So that they can host images there. And NO this isnt a I AM A SPAMMER site! Man you people are sick! It's a military site. Anyways... is it possible to give them limited access to like one folder in the directory? BTW I use WS_FTP Pro. It Rocks! Thank you!! shakes Posted October 18, 2003 Posted October 18, 2003 i'm surprised this hasn't been answered yet ... by default when you create a FTP account (lets say User1), it creates a folder for that user under your public_html folder (in this case it would be public_html/user1) ... that user has full access to that folder, but only to that folder. I don't think there's a way to modify what access ftp users have. maybe you could with shell access but i just don't know. hope that helps some. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 Hi, Yes you can create a custom folder with a FTP address to it so thats all they have access too. It can all be set up from the helpful Cpanel Jim Quote
