McC Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 First time I've ever posted on the boards here, so hey everyone! I'm curious as to whether or not there's a way to limit the amount of data uploaded to a specific folder. For instance, if I want to limit a folder called 'blah' on my server to a maximum of 12 MB or some such, is there a way to do that, after which point I would not be able to upload additional data? Thanks! -Ryan Quote
Head Guru Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 First post and we missed it.... Sorry.. There is not a way to limit the amount of traffic to a certain folder. Quote
jslagle Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 Bill, what about using a reseller account? you would set up an account with a 12 meg storage limit, a bandwidth limit then access it from the main site using the ip address/~whatever/. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 Hi, That would actually involve setting up, in effect, "a new website" as thats what each account really is. True it could be done, buts its a poor way of doing it. So as it stands, Bill's answers is still correct Jim Quote
DarqFlare Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 Hm... I think it would be a good idea if there was a utility we could use to set a quota on certain folders... Quote
TCH-JimE Posted October 30, 2003 Posted October 30, 2003 We shall hunt for one and see what we can do, no promises though! Jim Quote
