TCH-Dick Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Considering all the photographers I have seen here, I figured this is the best place to ask. I am looking to buy a digital camera and the choices seem endless. I want something small but of good quality. Would like to go with a Nikon, but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks Quote
TCH-JimE Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Hi, It all depends on 3 things, the cost being the major one, followed by what you want to use it for, followed by possible candiates. I brought the Canon S45 which I love and have no regrets over. It does have one function too many, but they are all very useful. I brought mine for close up (macro) work indoors and out doors Jim Quote

Cost is not a major concern 2. Want to use it for everyday, shoot from the hip kinda of photos (but with good quality) 3. Open to models and brands, have been looking at the CoolPix 3100, 4300, 5400 Quote
TCH-Rick Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I love the Olympus cameras. I had an inexpensive one once that worked well. I currently have a C-3000 and have been very happy with it. Check out the Photo Gallery Thread and look for my pictures for examples. Keep in mind they are resized. Quote
