boxturt Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Is it ok to periodically delete AnalogStats and Webalizer files? If so, can someone tell me any do's and don'ts? I don't use them and they take up 20% of my allotted disk space. Quote
boxturt Posted September 12, 2003 Author Posted September 12, 2003 I really hate to do this but I'm getting a little concerned so **bump** The percentages have changed and soon I will reach the point where I can't generate a backup without going over my allotted space. Quote
TCH-JimE Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 Boxturt, Follow the rules for doing something if your never sure, don't delete the files, just move them somewhere different on your hard disk space, or even transfer them off your website and see what happens over the next 24 hours! boxturt Posted September 12, 2003 Author Posted September 12, 2003 Sound advice indeed. Thanks. Quote
dukeblue219 Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 It should be just fine to delete the Analog files, which get really big, especially if you don't use Analog. I haven't tried deleting Webalizer, but I would imagine that deleting the old stats files wouldnt hurt anything. Quote
boxturt Posted September 13, 2003 Author Posted September 13, 2003 I renamed the folders yesterday and as of yet I've seen no negative effects. *.....fingers crossed......* Quote
