raDeon Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 Is there anyway to limit the amount of space to a particular subdomain. I want to set someone up with a subdomain but don't want them to take all my space. Quote
Head Guru Posted August 16, 2003 Posted August 16, 2003 There currently is no option to limit space in a subdomain. Quote
TomeOne Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 Will the people at CPanel be adding that in an upcoming new version? Quote
TCH-Rick Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 I don't know that CPanel is working on such an option or not. I would doubt it since Cpanel is designed to control an individual site. THe reseller accounts have more control over disk quotas and bandwidth since those accounts are designed for multiple users and sites. Ultimately you are responsible for your entire site. THere is an option in Cpanel to view Disk Usage and you can see how much space each subdirectory is using. If someone is maintaining one subdomain of your account and using too much space you should ask them to take care of it or get their own account. I would also say it's important to keep an eye on what they have in the subdomain as well. If someone violates the AUP then the entire account can be suspended or terminated. Quote
TomeOne Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 Gotcha, thanks for the infomation. I'm not to worried since the person who might want some space on my site wouldn't upload illegal content or use up most of my space. Quote
