Probably the easiest solution would be to submit a Help Dest ticket and we can change the password on the db. Just be sure to have the correct CPanel info and the name of the database and the password you want to use.

How can I find out what a password is for a database?

I know this is an old thread but I've been trying to find out how I could change the password for my database.

It sounds as if this is something you have to do.

Is that correct and would I just follow the instructions given to the person who first started this message?

You can recreate the database user/pass via the MySQL option in your cPanel. If you are unsure just open a ticket, we will gladly do it for you.

Thanks for answering me but I may not do anything. I wanted to change my password on the message board I set up and thought I had to do that by changing the password for the database.

I know now that's not the case so I just may leave it alone.
