I use it a little bit. I find it particularly useful for me when I can set up a reminder and have it sent to my cell phone. That is my favorite feature. (Its also available wtih other online calendar programs, too, I know.)

I'm intrigued by the calendar sharing options. I think that could be useful, particularly with the Google hosted e-mail for your domain. With that calendar, other users in your organization could share calendars as needed. That seems like it could be powerful.

I wish I knew how to synch my Palm pilot with it. I dont' know how to get it to synch with any other program, so that is why I don't really use it much.

Yes, I love it

and the part where reminders are sent to my cell phone is great!

So much easier than trying to put them in the phone.

I like the agenda view, its my browser home home page.

I was trying to find a good way to set up some shared calendars...one for my wife's work, one for my work, and one "family" calendar. Tried Sunbird and kind of liked it, but Google has quickly replaced it.

The interface is very intuitive, and drag-and-drop-ability is very smooth.

I wish I could find a good way to import/export, since the place I work uses MeetingMaker, and they really wish I were using it too.

I like it and use it a lot for appointments and anything I need to remember that's date-based. I wish that they had it working for the hosted email they have because my church could greatly use a shared calendar for vacations and ministry of helps schedules but they aren't that far along yet - with Google, everything is in beta. :)

The great thing about it is that you can access it from any computer that has a browser (all of them?). With Sunbird you either have to have it loaded or run the portable one - either way there's a program involved. The web cal is convenient.

Nortk, from the help file:

How do I export my Google Calendar data?

To export Google Calendar content, just follow these steps:

1. Under "Calendars" in the left column, click on the down-arrow button next to the appropriate calendar, then select "Calendar settings." (Alternatively, click on "Manage Calendars" under "Calendars" in the left column, then click on the name of the appropriate calendar.)

2. Click on the "ICAL" button under "Private Address" and click on the displayed URL.

3. Save the exported file to the desired folder on your computer.

4. Following the instruction on the calendar application of your choice, import the file you exported from Google Calendar to the calendar application.

ICAL is pretty standard, I don't know if your program will import it though.

It looks like they do have it working for the hosted email. I log into my hosted email, and the top left corner has a calendar link that logs me into the calendar using my hosted email.

I love the feature that lets you drag you event to another day or time and how easy it is to increase or decrease the event time just by "pulling " the little tab at the bottom. The feature I like also is the ability to turn off or on different events per calendar user...kids appointments in blue, mine in red mom's are purple...

youneverknow

Unfortunately, no, what we officially use at work does not seem to get along with the ICAL format. We have just updated MeetingMaker, though, so maybe it includes the ability to work with ICAL.

I take it back...the new version of MeetingMaker DOES let me import/export ICAL! That's a nice relief. There were some flaws in going from one to the other, but nothing major.

Woo hoo!! You're right! :)

I specifically checked for that for my church to use a couple of weeks ago and now they have it! Yay! Thanks Dave for pointing that out!

I use AirSet calendars with my website so that others in the group can add/edit group events. Reminders can be sent to e-mail, cell phone or both.

The main reason I use AirSet over Google is because AirSet can be sync'ed with my Outlook as well as my Palm. So far, I can only see that the Google Calendar can export/import data, not quite the same as sync.

The neatest feature, if you go for those kinds of things, is the ability to setup chat sessions with Google Calendar events. However, you need a connection to G Chat for that (Jabber will work too).
