Ahryn Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 i still dont understand...i bought the domain name here..and is that it?? then i just go to yahoo..or something and get a host...are hosts free Quote
TCH-Don Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 You can get hosting here The starter plan should last you a long time. After you get the hosting you will get an e-mail with your login name and password. If you need more help, please let us know. Quote
Samrc Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 At less than $4/mo if you pay for a year at a time, it is a terrific value, cost-wsie. And the support on this forum is priceless! Like others, I have used many hosts. TCH is in a class of it's own. Once you have your domain name, and a hosted webspace to go with it, you will need to upload (send) your files to the website so other people can see them. Using the basic functions of an FTP program is easy and many programs to do that are free! Let us know when you have your account and we will help you load your pages and images! Quote
chatbug Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Hi Erin, Did you sign up to both a domain name and a hosting plan? If you did, you should be all set to upload and have your website up and running. If you signed up for hosting, your email should tell you what FTP address to connect to. Quote
Deverill Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 When you are ready to put your pages online (that FTP thing they are talking about) then check out this Compilation of FTP Information to get some more info. Quote
