Has anyone tried these 2 together to run an e-commerce site? Just looking to see how easy it is.

Hang in, I'm sure some one will let you know their experience....

Hello,

Both are Brilliant. Joomla has become my CMS of choice over the last few months and cart is just as easy to learn.

Since you can setup joomla from your CPANEL and the cart is an easy addon, give it a try, you can always delete it after playing with it for a while!

To delete, is it a simple matter of deleting the directory where it is installed?

No, just go back to cpanel > fantastico > Joomla

and select remove current installation

Fantastico will remove the folders and database.

Thanks!

At the risk of bumping....

I tried virtuemart (VM) this weekend using the joomla with VM option from the VM site.

Looks great (I love Joomla) but I binned it after two days of trying to deal with glaring bugs. Support is very poor. The forum site was down on day one and most people seem to wait months for an answer and often end up answering their own questions.

It is a shame because it looks so promising.

Already use zen-cart and am waiting for support to set up pdo_mysql so that I can have a play with Magneto.
