Wow!How can I get rid of front page hassles? I try to maintain websites using front page (I'm not trained in anything else) but I constantly have problems with updating to my server. Any suggestions?

The easiest (and obvious) way would be to transition to another program. There are many available that will help you learn HTML as you go...several are even free! Do a search on HTML editors and you will find a lot.

I've always said that Frontpage is a great product for beginners to learn on. But once you start looking in the HTML tab and learning the "how and why" things work, you'll want to increase your knowledge. Once that happens, then HTML will become easier for you. I won't say that there isn't a learning curve, but in the end, you'll be much happier.

Welcome to the forums moxsl :)

You may have an easier go of it if you publish to a folder on your hard drive and then use an FTP client to move your site (or changes) to the server.

Welcome to the Forums! As TCH-steve suggests, find a HTML client that your happy with and learn the HTML code to be able to upload a page by itself. Once your past that curve, you will wonder why you never leant it before!

One other thing I forgot to mention...don't forget about checking out the "HTML for Dummies" book. I have several of these types for various programming languages and they make it very easy to retain information. You can pick it up at nearly any major bookstore or online retailer.

Welcome to the forums moxsl :P

did you look at our help pages for frontpage?

I agree a book on learning html has been a live saver for many

it frees us from the problems of wysiwyg programs.

Its not that hard to learn a few html tags to build a web page.
