Jasc makes a good product, so I don't really mind shelling out a few bucks for their stuff. I've been more than happy with Paint Shop Pro 7, since I'm an artist as well. I was taught on it, so it's a little easier than battling through the Gimp.

Bill, you found it by yourself: GIMP for Windows.

But the post was actualy there because it irritates me that everyone (and not only here) seems to think Windows is the only operating system there is. For example, when someone asks about an application to do this or that, everyone pops in with sugestions of Windows' programs, without even knowing what's the operating system the person has installed in in's computer...

Anyway, never mind, it just irritates me the fact that Microsoft has managed to stupidify the whole computer user world in a way that people no longer know what a computer is anymore.

Oh, and no, I'm not one of those people who franticaly defend Linux. I hate those stupid Linux vs Windows flame wars. I believe that people should use whatever fits their needs. So please, no windows vs linux flame wars, ok? :)

I promise  not to further flame the Linux vs Windows "thing", but it is fun to play with Linux on my own PC. I have a boot manager installed, with both Win XP and Red Hat Linux on separate partitions. I had grand illusions of testing my web site on the Linux partition, but it consumed more time than I could spare.

Admittedly, there's a cool feeling that comes from bringing a new operating system to life on my computer...kind of like creating a little virtual world.

I had GIMP installed on Win XP, but my girlfriend who is much more artistic than me prefers Paint Shop Pro. So do I.

Well.....let me say one thing. What software are you running on your web servers? There is a reason why the majority of web servers are running on Linux, and a reason why the majority of surfers are using Windows. I personally believe that Linux is a much leaner and meaner operating system, but finding apps for it is a bit of a pain, no matter what the hard core Linux'rs say......so do I use Windows...you bet your sweet proc I do.. lol.....but then again, I also have a dual boot going with the latest Linux OS, and my web server runs Linux E-Smith. So many choices..... so little time......

BTW...thanks to everybody at TCH for doing such a great job. I have tried MANY hosting services in the past, and you guys have made this a painless and enjoyable service.... Keep up the great work!
