OK heres the deal:

I set up a php chatroom via the controlpanel, i set an address, username and password.

 

It created the chatroom thing prefectly but I cant find an administration entrance anywhere.

 

I looked up other phpmychat-chatrooms (on other sites) and they all have the choice:

 

Register | Edit your profile | Delete user || Administration

 

Whilst I only have this:

Register | Edit your profile | Delete user

 

Can anybody please help me with this, or at least how to chage the rooms names (this is why I am trying to get into administration)?

While I didn't have time to fully explore, I did do a quick cursory chat room implementation... findings:

 

1) I did have an Admin link... and I could access it.

2) Could not rename the rooms from there, but could when accessing the DB through PHPMyAdmin.

 

Sorry that I don't have more for you...could you give me the url where I can find the chatroom that you've implemented? Maybe that could give me a better idea.

so just add the /chat/admin.php3

 

also

 

To add rooms or change room names, you need to edit the /config.lib.php file.

Problem:

 

while editing anything in the config_lib it gives an amounbt of mayor errors (i re-installed the chatroom) but i still havent been able to change the room-names without the errors

it was something like error in line ** (e.g 76) and then naming sum lib files, sorry i forgot to copy/paste em for ya).
