antandsons Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Does anyone know how to transform a regular photo of a person's head to a simliar form of a headshot that they have in the Wall Street Journal? TIA Quote
GroovyFish Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 (edited) I don't get the WSJ, but I think I know what you are talking about. Head on a plain background? I maybe able to help you out with that if you are not in a real hurry (like sometime tomorrow). If that is fast enough, I can PM you an email address. Is the photo digital, or a scan? wampthing Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I think what you are looking for is something like This right? I dont think there is a way to reduce it to a photoshop filter. I could be wrong ( often am). Perhaps a photoshop guru might have a way for you to do it. (By the way, I think it is a great Idea for your site) Quote

antandsons Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 Would anyone that has photoshop be able to transform it for me? Or is there a site or free program that automatically does it for you? Quote
eggrock Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 (edited) The 'add noise' filter in Photoshop can give you that effect but since the size of that pic is so small you won't get a very realistic effect. Not to mention that, after six years of owning Photoshop I'm still a complete n00b. This is an example; I didn't crop the background, just added noise and set to grayscale: Edited October 24, 2005 by eggrock Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 eggrock, you probably have hotlink protection turned on thus not making the image avaliable to view. Quote

dave_the_designer Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 (edited) that pic is way too small for anything, i opened it up and but its too small and too blurry to do anything like wsj, if you have a MUCH larger copy, post it and ill see what i can do Edited October 28, 2005 by dave_the_designer Quote
