writernan Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 I send out a newsletter twice each month (generally) through a self-owned mailing program using sendmail. When I was with my former host, right after the mailing, I would get a slew of "undeliverables" -- usually mailbox full type of thing, but also bad email addresses. This helped me to keep my mailing list cleaned out. I didn't get any of these this time -- my first mailing with TCH. Does anyone know where they are going? Thanks, Nan Quote
TCH-JimE Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 Hi, Just off the top of my head, do you may have your blackhole set up or a different "reply to" in your mail list? Jim Quote
writernan Posted May 23, 2003 Author Posted May 23, 2003 AHA! Just checked Webmail and found everything went to my default address. I THINK I've fixed the problem. I'll know after the next mailing goes out. Have another question along the same lines. When I checked my default web mail, there were SCADS of spam messages. Does this mean I'll need to check this box periodically and clean it out? I never use this particular address for anything. Thanks for your input. Nan Quote
Lianna Posted May 25, 2003 Posted May 25, 2003 You could set a redirect to that address to :FAIL: and it would kill all messages that came to that address automatically. Now, the keywords there are kill ALL messages. Quote
writernan Posted May 25, 2003 Author Posted May 25, 2003 Thanks! After I posted, I found a way around the problem ... but do appreciate greatly the help from the forum. Nan Quote
