cayugadan Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 (edited) I am considering using TCH for some hosting. I use my own DNS server (well, actually the DNS at the excellent registrar IthacaDomains.com) for several reasons, including the experience that if I want to point anyoldserver. whatever. com somewhere I don't want to wait for someone else to take care of it. 1. Do you require that TCH host the DNS server? 2. If so, is it a problem to have something other than www. point to the web space? Edited July 7, 2005 by cayugadan Quote
TCH-Rick Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 It is possible to use other DNS services. Some features in CPanel such as automatic creation of subdomains will not work, however, as the DNS record would have to be changed manually. Quote
cayugadan Posted July 7, 2005 Author Posted July 7, 2005 Rick, thanks for your answer. But I could just add the subdomain to my DNS, right? Quote
GroovyFish Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Welcome to the forums cayugadan! Is that an African Dwarf Frog in your avatar? Love those. I gave mine to a friend. Wish I still had them. Quote
