lardieb Posted May 3, 2003 Posted May 3, 2003 I am trying to send an email with Outlook but keep getting the following error: Task 'lardie.net - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC65) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: 503 Valid RCPT TO must precede DATA' I am trying to use the BCC feature of Outlook. This worked on the 30th but now I am having no luck. Looks like the server thinks I am trying to relay. Do the TCH servers support SMTP authentication? I tried to enable it but that did not work either. Any ideas? Edit:: I am also getting the same error when trying to reply to an email. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted May 3, 2003 Posted May 3, 2003 Do you have an IM client installed such as AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, etc? If so IM me at one of the buttons below and we can check your settings. Quote
Lianna Posted May 3, 2003 Posted May 3, 2003 Otherwise, create a helpdesk ticket with all of this information. Thanks. Quote
TCH-Rick Posted May 3, 2003 Posted May 3, 2003 I meant to update this then got distracted. The solution we came to was to delete the Outlook email account and use the autoconfigure in the Manage Email menu of cPanel to recreate that. Ran a few tests and all worked well. Quote
