Is it just me or are there some scripts missing that were available to install a few days ago? Maybe I just screwed up something on my account... who knows... Like geekblog and coppermine and a few others I don't remember. Anybody?

I'm positive Coppermine was since I installed it through CPanel just a few days ago, but then deleted the stuff. I never used anything else, it was all right there in Cpanel for me and ready to install as scripts. I thought I remembered a blog script called GeekBlog there too, and a few other scripts. Maybe I was just special for a few days or something! Maybe my account had some kind of fluke or something, I have no idea!!

There are some additional scripts available for installation through CPanel and a few servers have had them available. We have handled it much the same as we did when PhpNuke and Invision were added as options for add-on scripts where the option was enabled on request.

We have not enabled the scripts on all servers because we have not had the chance to insure that they work correctly. It is important to note that the scripts included in the Add-on scripts are still third party scripts and we do not provide support for them through the Help Desk. A couple of the autoinstallation modules have also proven to have problems.

My personal opinion is that it is worth taking a little more time to install scripts manually. Users here are willing to help with problems. When the auto-installs work correctly they are certainly easy. When they fail they can really cause problems that can be very difficult to correct.

That is exactly what happened to me when I first joined TCH. I had a list of about 10 or 12 and now down to 6 options. If the reason is because they are 'testing' then I am cool with that, but it sure felt as though it was a way to entice and then take it away...

I like my treats, but to have them taken away... that just is not nice :tchrocks:

Anyways, I will await their return.
