Same problem as previous post.

Cannot log into help desk using the username and password supplied in welcome message.

Have some serious issues that need resolving!

I believe that you need to create a login in the help desk.

The user name and password from your welcome email are for your account and cpanel.

Try to create a new login on the help desk, just like you did for this forum.

Hi,

Please do not display your details on the forum. I have edited your post to remove them.

Could you please email me at jim@totalchoicehosting.com your domain name, cpanel name and password please.

Thanks

Jim

That deal with having a seperate userid and password for the helpdesk confused me at first also.

It would be a great idea (in what I'm sure is the TONS of spare time y'all have there :D ) to get the account creation script to automatically create a helpdesk user with the same password as the main website user. It seems like a source for confusion otherwise.

The problem is this.

When a user changes the cpanel password, the help desk login does not change. They function on two different playing fields. Cpanel is 3rd party software, so getting certain things to interact with it can be difficult.

SO most users think that when they change the cpanel pass it will automagicly change the help desk login pass. But this is not the case.

Users have to use the username and password that we issue in the 'order complete' email.

I was finally able to get into the help desk using the username and password in the original welcome mail from a different account. Still don't know why the first one didn't work unless cookies thought I was a different user.

Since I was able to get in I guess it doesn't matter except to other users.

I don't want to beat this to death!

Thanks for the replies.
