wibbers2000 Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Hello and help I am having problems with explorer displaying my updated flash web site. I have made changes to my my web site on my hard drive and then run the changes to ensured they worked. They did and so I copied them over to my hosting via FTP and all files appeared, so good so far. I then ran the html from the public_html on the server and again every thing works as expected. I then went into explorer and my web page, every thing went well until I checked for the updated text in the news section. This is where I have the the problem, the text displayed is still the orginal page and not the updated one. I have deleted, copied over, started again, everthing I could think of but I still can not see the updated text Can anyone help please regards Quote
stevevan Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 As a suggestion, you might try clearing the cache in your browser. Sometimes that causes things to get a bit screwy. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Welcome to the forums wibbers2000 Do you have a link we can try along with what the updated text should be? But Steve is probably right, it's probably your cache. Quote
wibbers2000 Posted March 25, 2005 Author Posted March 25, 2005 I have cleared the internet cash but it still loads the wrong page. My web site is www.wibbers.com and the problem is the news page. If you select the flash option as I have not updated the non flash page yet. The latest news is from 29.01.2005. if you check the attachment I have added to this page there are another 3 entries which are not appearing. Thanks for any and all assistance. TCH-Rick Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 I'm afraid there is not much we can do to help as your site is not hosted by us. You should contact technical support at your hosting company to determine why the changes are not working. Quote
flashram Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 How Cheeky can you get, not even hosted by TCH and trying to get support. But that does go to show how they might feel abou the level of support that is given by these forums. Quote
