Thank you so much, Bill for the info.....Just a couple more quick questions :(

How much RAM memory do 82 & 94 have?

What is the interconnect NIC speed?.. (from box to switch/hub)

Posted

However with that said. I would like to offer the following.

When we bring on new servers, they will be built using the most affordable, high tech, recent options available. This does not mean we will go thru and upgrade older servers.

Servers are staffed according to the available resources.

Ask our clients on some of the older Dual Pentium3 servers that have been in production for several years. These servers are still very robust, fast and have excellent uptime.

It really is about 'available' resources.

Bill, I’m not sure why you have chosen not to answer the additional questions. You have a customer that would like to know what kind of hardware is supporting the virtual servers of

94 and 82. From my point of view I have no clue of whether or not these virtual servers reside on the same hardware. I understand the "available" resources

and never implied or expect (as a client) for you to make any kind of change.

I was simply inquiring about the hardware that support these two V-servers. That's all. The performance of my accounts with you is just fine. In fact they are great! I have had mostly, a very very positive experience hosting at TCH. I will say that it bothers me that you have chosen to take a semi-defensive tone with me when i ask a simple and reasonable question. I am excited that TCH is making upgrades to existing servers as you deem necessary. Please conduct your business as you do, but please consider that some may (including me) request reasonable information from you concerning your services, procedures, policies and support. I apologize if these remedial topics prompt you to respond in the way that you have and do.

Kind Regards and respect

Your customer, Russell

Russell,

Slow down there big guy. ;)

I answered your questions.

Both servers are the same.

In regards to your other points.

I am glad your happy with TCH. If I did take any approach to you it was simply factual. I think you started some of the tone in your off topic posts in the server move thread. Either way, as always I am thankful for your business and I am always available to answer questions. This is around my 10th reply to your questions, sometimes it is frustrating get a point across in type. Sorry if I did otherwise, it was not my intention.

Thanks Bill.....sorry on my part if I implied any "tone" with you. I respect you as a business owner and think you are doing a great job providing the services you do....BTW i very much appreciate you always going above and beyond the normal call of duty.

There still remains two unanswered questions.....may i please ask them again.

How much RAM memory does the hardware have that supports V-Server 94 & 82 (understanding that it is the same box....as you pointed out)

What is the NIC speed connecting the box to the network...10/100/1000?

Thanks again......no hard feeling on this end..You?

They are the same server Ace.

One more question on this subject....The quoted post is a reply to the following question: How much RAM memory do 82 & 94 have? What is the interconnect NIC speed?.. (from box to switch/hub)

The two traces show that one ends in Washington DC and the other in Atlanta.

These end point are two different geographically areas. OK..here is the question:

How can this be the same server?

I'm confused..can you help. :)
