Is it possible to host a Microsoft SharePoint site here?

I believe this runs on a Windows 2000 server. TCH uses linux and apache servers so this will not be possible. You will need a member of TCH to confirm this though

Sharepoint is not supported on Linux, we do support FrontPage 2002 Extensions.

 

But not Sharepoint.

 

This is all part of MS's .NET push. (cough cough)

Sharepoint is indeed a Microsoft Server based product and requires being run on a Windows 2000 Server box, not Linux.

I have 3 sites with TotalChoice and 2 of them allow me to use Microsoft Sharepoint Designer. The third site is brand new with no webpages but for some reason Sharepoint Designer can not open the site.

 

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can setup and use sharepoint designer on this 3rd site?

I found the problem. I had to uninstal and reinstall the front page extensions.

 

Now Sharpoint designer works at all 3 of my tch sites.
