Does The "search Engine Submit" On Cpanel Work?

I submitted my domain and then looked at the results and it appears that there were some error messages.

 

Is this method an effective way to get listing on search engines?

automated search engine submittals are generally not a good idea, and many search engines either wont accept them or place them far at the end of the list of sites to be indexed. Manually submitting your site is the best way, even better is just having your site linked to from a site already in the search engines.

Mikes right, I have gotten better luck out of a six-pack than using the automated version.

How is that done? Do you need an advertisement for your site from a site that is already in search engines? Or is having the name of your site in your signature enough?

That is a good idea too, but the best would be to ask people with similar interests to link to you (in return that you link to them of course).

This will help get you looked at by search engines.
