Email: Don't Delete This Message Message

Recommended Posts

For the last several days, I've been getting a message on one of my POP accounts. Here's the entire message source:

From: Mail System Internal Data <MAILER-DAEMON@server8.totalchoicehosting.com>

Subject: DON'T DELETE THIS MESSAGE -- FOLDER INTERNAL DATA

Message-ID: <1049051257@server8.totalchoicehosting.com>

X-IMAP: 1049051091 0000000002

Status: RO

This text is part of the internal format of your mail folder, and is not

a real message.  It is created automatically by the mail system software.

If deleted, important folder data will be lost, and it will be re-created

with the data reset to initial values.

1) Any ideas what this is for? It only seems to be coming to one of my POP3 accounts.

2) If it's real, I don't see how I can fail to delete it, as my POP client automatically deletes from the server on download.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
