section31 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Hi, does anyone know how they some of these blog sites and online email websites create those fancy interfaces for posting stuff. Ex. I mean i know the basics of html and I have no idea how they manipulate the textarea like that. Here is my interface for my site i created from scratch... notice how primitive...It uses bbcode like format for html code. Quote
erisande Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Sure. There are "programs" like SPAW from Solmetra that do this kind of thing. or look for web based wysiwyg editors... Quote

section31 Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 yeeeeeeeeah...look what i found.. http://www.kevinroth.com/rte/demo.htm Quote
erisande Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Nice deal indeed! You were right about SPAW. It is a sweet thing, but if it doesn't support Firefox, I just can't use it. Quote
GroovyFish Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 You might also take a look at this: h**p://www.interactivetools.com/products/htmlarea/ I think their demo there is version 2.03, but they have 3.0 (beta) that works with Mozilla/Firefox. 3.0 Demo is here: h**p://www.dynarch.com/htmlarea/ The 3.0 is only available for download from SourceForge (h**p://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/itools-htmlarea) Quote
