TCH-Thomas Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 On Mar 11 2004, I posted the Exercise Program, now I think its time to move on to something slightly more advanced. If you havent done the Exercise Program, please start with that. Building up your upper body (You try it at your own risk) For those of us getting along in years, here is a little secret for building your arm and shoulder muscles. You might want to adopt this three days a week. Begin by standing straight, with a 5-lb potato sack in each hand. Extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute and then relax. After one week, move up to 10-lb potato sacks, and then the next week 50-lb potato sacks. Eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight out for more than a full minute. After you feel confident at that level, start putting a couple of potatoes in each sack........ Quote
stevevan Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I passed this on to all of my older relatives! Quote

danceswithscissors Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 I don't like french fries, I could easily put them in a sack .. and leave them there .. forever! Yuck! Quote
