Do you allow Invision Power board on shared hosting plans? I found a few hosts that don't

Is there a limit on mysql persistent connections. For example, only 50 users could connect to forum at one time. Another thing I noticed with other hosts.

For POP3 mail do you offer outgoing SMTP server?

So far TCH looks to be my choice for a new host. And let me say there is a ton of hosts out there that I have been looking at today. I think my head is spinning.

Hi,

The forum you are looking at IPB,

is installed in cpanel under Scripts library,

it is version 1.2,

but you can install 1.3 yourself, and if you need help just ask.

I do not believe there are any limit

to how many can connect to your forum at once.

And yes on the SMTP, and if you need it port 26 is enabled.

Hope this helps

and we will get to welcome you as family :D

Let me be the first to tell you will love TCH...

They are so helpful, right from the help desk to the techies here.

If your current host has cpanel,

ask when you sign up to have you site copied here.

You may be asked to open a help ticket after your account is set up.

No guarentees, but normally it works just fine and is faster for them to copy your site as is.

When they did this for me, everything worked the same including e-mail and databases.

If you upload the backup file (in sql format) into your root directory and open a Help Desk ticket giving us the backup filename and the name of the database you wish to add the data to we can do it on the server. Just create an empty database and we can import the tables and data.
