If you have applied all the anti-spam mods that Carbonize has provided and are still getting SPAM, I have figured out how to relieve the problem Simply change the name of the folder that you have your guestbook in. The spammers are people who apparently have nothing better to do other than go through search engines with phrases like "Advanced Guestbook" or "Leave your mark" as their search criteria. By changing the name of the folder that you keep the guestbook in, when they click the link, they get a 404 error. Or, I set up a redirect to a custom 403.shtml page that basically tells them to go away. When I start to receive the spam again, I know that a web spider has crawled my site. So... I change the name of the folder again. etc. Instead of cleaning up my book on a daily basis, I may clean up 2 or 3 every few weeks. My 0.02

THANKS woesap !! I had to fight with it a bit, i.e. the box to allow scripts to be run was grayed out, but after fiddling with it a bit, I was able to get the script to work :-)

And it looks like it will be easier to install

I am looking for an open source php script to allow visitors to my site to submit their favorite links. I have looked at phplinks, and could not install it to save my life. I may try it again this evening. But, I was hoping to get a few suggestions from the group. Format like this... ----------------------------------------------- Category1 Category2 Category3 sub-category sub-category sub-category sub-category sub-category sub-category Or sumpin' like that

My question has been answered via YIM. Thanks The answer is... Clients do not need to do a thing with their name servers. Obviously they will need to upload their sites. Set up webmail etc. But they do not need to change anything with their Domain Registrar.

Quick Question. I understand that my Reseller acount domain will need to switch it's Name servers to Total Choice's. My question is, can my clients keep the name servers that they are pointed to now? ie ns1.peachweb.net etc. TIA ~RP
