Bottom line is an e-mail will NOT magically appear in someones inbox unless you specifically mailed it to them. You must've accidentally sent the message to her inbox as well.
-
If you are using Outlook Express just right click on the message and select properties then the detials tab and it should show the complete path headers that the message took.

Yea I get these things all the time from Citibabk, to Something Mutual or whatever. You can tell they're fake if you just put your cursor over the link. I also get alot of scam e-mails about Paypal. I bid and buy from eBay quite frequently but I usually just e-mail all those suspicious Paypal messages to spoof@paypal.com for them to deal with.

I had this problem with my board in the past some users complained that they couldn't see images just a red "x". I went over all the links to the images and they were linked properly, it was only about 4 people experiencing it. In time it just started working for them so my belief is that the problem was on their end since so many of us saw all the pictures.

Go to the same option you did when you installed it through cPanel you should see an upgrade option. Usually within cPanel there is an option that sayd "Bulletin Board" choose that.
-
I just realized something whoahorse. I just checked your forum and you are running IPB not phpBB what did you try to upgrade? That could be what caused your problem.
-
I take it that's a no.. Do you have any back-ups? If not submit that ticket. I do all install, upgrades, modifications myself that way if something does happen to go wrong I will know what it is and will be able to fix it. Back-ups are intregal and should be done daily. You can do it from the Admin panel.
-
I sure hope you made a back-up or perform daily back-ups because if you do then you should be able to fix it yourself in no time at all.
-
It should be under the "Bulletin Board" option in cPanel.
-
whoahorse, try checking the config.php file that's in your phpBB root folder to see which database your forum is using then go and delete the others that aren't in use. To upgrade you can try doing that from cPanel if you originally installed your board from there or you can download the software and run the upgrade.php file from the archive and it should upgrade.
-
I hope you guys continue to support the phpBB software because I've been using it for awhile and prefer it over IPB or vBulletin, etc. Just for the record it's not just phpBB but all these forum softwares are liable to have vulnerabilities and just because phpBB is open source some people are claiming that's the reason for the exploit but I don't believe that to be true.
-
I got this e-mail just a few minutes ago and I'm already running phpBB 2.0.11 I don't want them to disable my board. They may have been mistaken because I edited one of the tpl files to remove the software version.
-
I just received an e-mail from TCH Support warning me about an exploit in phpBB which I already knew about asking me to upgrade my forum within 24 hours or it will be disabled. I'm already using phpBB 2.0.11 which is the latest release so I just wanted to make that clear before someone from TCH disables my board. Perhaps I should submit a support ticket letting them know?

Is there really any significant advantage to moving our accounts over to the U.K. servers? Just wondering.
-
Ofcouse, I know the phpBB bulletin board software isn't compatible with php5 yet. although there is a modifed one that is. The next official release due out shortly should be compatible.
-
Sometimes exploits are found in programs such as these and those vulnerabilities are just what hackers need. Not saying to upgrade just keep that in mind.
-
No office networks would cause that error to my knowledge it must've been something with your SQL database but then again it seemed to have fixed itself..
-
Another idea would be to go to Invision's site and post on their boards.
-
I've never dealt with IPB best bet would be to start over fresh. If this was phpBB2 I could've helped more because I have more experience using it.
-
I just submitted a ticket, Thanks!
-
Is there way that you can get the firsrt welcome e-mail that you get after you sign up a new account with TCH resent. Reason being, I had to do a hard disk format and forgot to save it.

Check that you have the "ashGrunge.cfg" file in the ashGrunge template folder.
