Where do I click on the words POLL VIEW?

I have a D-link router and a laptoop (with a wireless card) and a DESKTOP (with a 10/100 PCI card). For some reason, when I boot my DESKTOP I cannot connect to it from my laptop. When I first boot the DESKTOP and look at the Properties of the Local Area Connection the Address Type says "Automatic Private Address." Then after about 20 minutes it changes to "Assigned by DHCP." At that time I am able to connect to the DESKTOP. Does this show what my problem is and would anyone have an idea how to fix it so it stays at "Assigned by DHCP?" Thanks.

I see in cPanel there is a way to password protect a folder but it requires a username & password combination. Is there a way to password protect a page without requiring username too? In other words, I would like to have a page that only requires a password for users to access. I will notify the users of the password but I don't need for them to have a username to access the page. Thanks.

Thanks Samantha. I checked out your poll and I think I am starting to understand how to get mine working. By the way, which file(s) have to be edited to remove the version number from the poll?

My first mistake was that I named my poll with an .html extension instead of the proper .php extension. At this time I'm not sure what code needs to be in the .php poll file. Is it all of the code that is Template area of the Advanced Poll 2.03 admin page?

Fantastico has the Advanced Poll but I can't get it to work to save my life. Anyone else tried this or found an easy-to-install poll? thanks.

Isnt' there a way to insert a certain type of image into your site and then navigate to that image via a browser and if the image displays properly that means imagemagick is working properly?

Did the path change recently? I used to have the path /usr/bin/ and Imagemagick used to work for me. I tried changing the path to /usr/local/bin and it still doesn't work.

Does anyone know of scripts/programs that will backup the entire site and have it emailed or FTP'd to you? Thanks.

I had the .gz association checked but when I navigate to the respective .gz file the file doesn't display as a choice to unzip. hmmm

I was asked by Support to review the files in a .gz file to see if they were the ones I wanted restored. How do I open/unzip a .gz file? Winzip is telling me that it is "not a valid archive."

Oddly enough, the first email to the hotmail user goes to their inbox but it looks like all subsequent emails ("Welcome to the Forum," and subscribed thread emails end up in their junk box). They are NOT reporting the first email as spam/junk.

I'm just worried about other forum members that have hotmail. I would expect hotmail to, at least, be consistent with what they put in junk.

even worse...hotmail. I have it set on the "enhanced" level...not that that really describes how it determines what to consider junk.

I couldn't discern any flags in the headers for the Welcome email that was sent to junk mail. I wonder if it could have been considered junk since it was sent from the same email address that sent the activation email less than a minute earlier.

I have a vbulletin forum running on one of my TCH hosted sites. When a new user regsiters they are sent an activation email that contains a link for them to click. When the link is clicked the new user is sent a "Welcome" email. Why would the activation email for my forum get sent to the inbox but the Welcome email gets sent to junk? The Welcome email is received in the junk box just moments after activation.

I ended up using a program called PSPad. So far I am quite pleased. But if that changes I'll definitely take a look at Total Commander.

Doing a google search shows that there are many other people that don't get the correct results with a Windows search.

You are sure it is not overwriting the file on the server? When I choose overwrite, the file on the server changed to a zero length file.

I use SmartFTP. Quite often when I try to view a file with SmartFTP I get a message (see attachment). In this case it says the Existing File is 0 bytes and do I want to replace it with a 365bytes file. My question is, where is it coming up with this 0 byte size file? I KNOW the existing file that I want to view is 365bytes.

The Help Desk responded and said a full cpanel back-up backed up my cron jobs and ftp accounts too. I am pretty sure that the last time I had a site backed and then reloaded to another TCH account that I lost all cron jobs...hmm.

When creating the full backup then reloading it, will EVERYTHING related to that site be backed-up and reloaded? Or are there things, like cronjobs that don't get backed up? I plan on copying my site to another domain when it goes "live" but am wondering what might not get backed up when using cPanel.
