  7. I have never used this company, but my uncle is currently looking for the same type of solution. He passed on this link to check out. accept-donation-payments-online It might be worth a look. -gabe BTW- I am doing a Cancer Ride feel free to donate Walk And Roll Chicago
  8. I usually use Fetch for OS X. I also use the ftp client on Dreamweaver at least one every couple days. I like it because you can use it sync the local copy of your site and the live one. It's nice to have a couple back-ups. Just in case.
  9. I see. Good to know. I was thinking add-on domain instead of parked domain. Let's see if I have this correct. sub-domain is whatever.mysite.com parked domain is is basically another domain name that points to you existing site(but not a redirect?) add-on domain is like adding a whole new site(domain name and all) inside a folder of your existing site.
  10. I was under the impression that you can't have parked domains on your account, unless it was a reseller account. I may be wrong, but I think you would have to get another plan or add a sub-domain and use you registrar to forward you your new domain name to your sub-domain. -gabe
  11. I am very new at this, but It looks to me like you need to use ****/store/LucyNewItems.html instead of ****/store/LucyNewItems I think you need to all the .html -gabe

  13. You should be able to connect two XP machines together with a crossover cable, and share the internet. If you want to share the internet wirelessly you are going to need a wireless router.
  14. Do you have a wireless router? or any router for that matter?
  15. Thanks. I use it quite often myself. I defiantly have a love-hate relationship with PHP-Nuke
  16. You can get it in many different formats HERE. hope that helps. -gabe
  17. The compression is called Mod-gzip for apache web servers. I cut my download times down by about 80%. You can analyze your page here and here. This is my report.
  18. Well after optimizing all my images and using http compression, I am pretty happy with the results. Download Times* Connection Rate Download Time 14.4K ----------28.68 seconds 28.8K----------14.94 seconds 33.6K ----------12.98 seconds 56K----------8.27 seconds ISDN 128K----3.36 seconds T1 1.44Mbps---1.39 seconds If you read this and you are on dial up, please check out my site and let me know if it seem to load quick. --check my sig for the link-- thanks -gabe
  19. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes. Over the past couple days I have been trying to cut the fat out of my site. I was on a friends dial up connection and vas very unhappy with the load time of my site. So I went in and optimized the logo and completely removed some graphics. I went with a css style nav in favor of the image rollover links I had. It seem a lot faster now. In general, what is a good load time? -gabe

  22. Yep. I have tried uploading to the public_html folder and some folders inside the public_html folder with no luck. I have tried several different ftp clients also. For some reason it just stopped working. I can use my ftp client to download files to my computer, I just cant upload the files back to the server. Strange?
  23. The past couple of days I have not been able to upload files via ftp. When I connect with my ftp client everything looks fine, all the files i try to upload show up in the folder. But when I go into my file manager through cpanel they are not there. I can't figure it out. Any Ideas? -gabe
  24. I use php-nuke for my cms with no problem, I'm sure you will be fine with Mambo.
  25. Do link titles help your keyword density? I really never thought about using them until now. -gabe
